Welcome to Board Games Weekly: a blog, a podcast and a community.
The blog is updated six days a week. You’ll find regular features like reviews, top accessories, a Kickstarter highlight, the “RPG Diaries” and more. We also share game news, experiences and humor. It’s all meat and no filler.
The podcast features two episodes per week. The first is released each Monday with myself and one or more of my fine co-hosts: Aaron Mahnke, Matt Donle and Erin Doland. We’ve nicknamed the second episode “This Magic Moment,” and it features Aaron and me discussing Magic: The Gathering news, strategies, experiences and information. It’s released on Fridays.
Finally, Board Games Weekly is a community. Tabletop gamers are social. That’s half the appeal of coming to the table: talking, playing and laughing together. To that end, we’ve got active Twitter and Instagram accounts. Comments are enabled on the blog, and we’ve got plans for more listener/reader interaction in the future. I want you to be a part of this, so tweet, comment, email and let me know what you’re playing, what you like about the shows and really, anything else you want to share.
Tabletop gaming is great fun. I can’t think of a better way to get to know someone. This is what I’m passionate about, to be trite and cliche, and now I get to share it with you. I can’t wait.
One thing: I’m having a bit of trouble with the iTunes feed. Apple is aware of it and hopefully fixing it (hooray for three days on the phone with iTunes support!). I’m hoping it’ll be resolved soon. Until then you can subscribe to the Libsyn feed directly.
But enough about that. Let’s have some fun. Grab the dice, deal the cards and roll for initiative — this is Board Games Weekly.
