Nice Escape Room game

Really enjoyed this game. For an at home version of an escape room, this game engaged all my family members while keeping the puzzles challenging and fun. We played as a family of 5, age 22-30, and thought it was just the right level of difficulty. All games took 40-60 mins.

Only completed part 1 so far, but it is a challenging but solvable puzzle. Great for a family or small group to play.

I bought this to do with my kids over the holidays.
Overall it was fun… but I would say not really made for 5 people … also the codes are the same for each one… so once you do the first one you pretty much have to wait to forget the numbers to do the other 2. Also I found sometimes the clues were not sufficient and it was a little frustrating.
but for the price and for an activity on a snowy day at home .. totally worth it!

I played a lot of these games with my family. We play Unlock, Exit, and Escape Tales, and even have a few mystery puzzle crate subscriptions (e.g. Deadbolt Mystery society). So I am pretty familiar with this genre. This is by far the most disappointing one. I had to force my kids (age 9,10,10) to finish it. The puzzles were easy and tedious. The “aha” moment is pretty obvious, they use the same encoding throughout the game. Once you have learnt it, you get it, now it is just tedious to decode. A few of the puzzles were clever, but most of them – even when you get the answer, it is not obvious you have solved it. I think that’s the biggest problem I have with this game. When you get the answer – it should click. Lastly, while it is advertised as “repackable” – it is not easy to. If you use the perforated items, folded ..etc. I am not sure you can easily print it and punch the pieces out. You will need to precisely cut INSIDE the print out. Good luck with THAT. Buy this and consider it a one time purchase, not resellable, barely regiftable. Wished I read the 60-out review before I purcahsed. It’s a pass for me unless you are a puzzle rookie and likes the gimmick of the Chrono Detector.

We had never done an escape room so this gave us a chance to get the feel for it at home. We have done the first one, which is good for beginners, and had a great time. This set has three games and we are looking forward to doing the next one when the family gets together again.

I gave this as a part of a family game night Christmas gift package with everything you need for a game night and it was a hit!
My nephews love escape rooms and treasure hunts but with COVID this was the next best thing.
My sister-in-law said the game was fun and the boys couldn’t wait to do the others in the box!

Sounds good, 3 escape rooms in 1 box? Well its not. Incredibly hard to follow puzzles that dont make logical sense force you to fill in the substantial gaps in the “puzzle”. All to find the keys to get you to the next envelope. Where more sophisticated games give you boxes and contraptions to open or interact with, these are limited to 3 envelopes each containing 3 envelopes, so all paper. The block to enter the codes did not make sound for me, rendering it impossible to know if my code was right. Furthermore the block does not know which game you are playing, meaning every game you do has the EXACT SAME CODE SEQUENCE.
STAY AWAY, this is a huge waste of money.
