My family and I tried to play this game for an hour and had no idea how to play. As far as we got was setting the board up. I would not recommend this game, the learning curve is boring and frustrating and not much worth the time to learn. I wish I hadn’t bought this game, everyone ended up unhappy just trying to figure it out.

This is a fun story based game to play. My kids and I just completed chapter one, and we can’t wait to play chapter two. I like the Gothic Horror element to the game, which honors a classic nineteenth century American short story. The component pieces are sturdy, and the plastic molded characters are well done. The game has elements reminiscent of Gloomhaven. Definitely not a game for beginners. You will want to watch a “How to Play” walkthrough on YouTube.

Fun game but hard to figure out how to play. Could have used more instructions. Also, the Ichabod figurines health circle is far too large for the figurine. Anyone else having that problem?

You have to look online to find an instruction video in order to play because the rule book is vague and misses several key points on how to play and setup. We had to lookup a video where the guy had to reach out to the PUBLISHER to even figure out how to play! Very frustrating and an easy way to turn off new board game players. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re willing to spend hours trying to figure out how to play the game before even playing.
