My cousin gave me the same set about 35 years ago, after teaching me to play and playing all summer with her.
It is something my 22 year old daughter and I enjoy playing together, and I gave it to her, so she can teach her boyfriend, as they will be getting married soon.

A portable, serviceable backgammon set, a step up from the folding game board and checker-set models. I had to use a little glue where some of the points were loose from the felt when I received the set. The stitching is clearly just decorative and the points glued down haphazardly. But a little glue fixed it and for casual play the board works fine. The pieces feel more substantial than plastic checkers. The set is easily portable. Backgammon is a fun game that I’ve been playing for over 40 years now.
