My kids & their friends had fun with it! They liked having teams and hiding & finding gems. They thought it hurt a little to be “unfrozen” since you get tagged with the rod of winter.. but some kids are more rough than others with it. Depends on the kid. The red gem broke off the first time they played with it, so they just didn’t use that one. But the company offers free replacement parts & it was super quick and easy to order that and they ship it right to you for free. The kids all said they would play it again, especially since it’s finally warming up and they like playing night games outside around the neighborhood. Glow in the dark games are fun!!

I received this as a gift for Christmas this year and was very excited to try it out. When I took the plastic off the box and opened it the only thing inside was the gameboard and nothing else. Pretty bummed about it.

I think the book is fine and if you are interested in Dune, it is a nice resource. However, this Harkonnen edition is not worth it in my opinion. The boardgamesweekly.com images show a nicely variegated deep dark brown and red leather-like cover. In actuality, it is simply red with a slight texture. It is a bit underwhelming. I guess the loss of the Spice mining contract hit the Harkonnens harder than I thought. I would just recommend getting the regular edition unless you can get this for much less than list price.

First thing I noticed was that it was packaged and shipped in two trash bags, I’m amazed it made it in one piece. Secondly it was not brand new, noticed some damage to the board and of course the batteries that are not included in the game had exploded. Luckily I was able to repair it so it functioned just fine. The only reason this gets two stars is because my kids love it!

My family loves this game and we’ve played it for years on a different style of board. So I decided to buy this one because of the 6 player side of the board however, the board was bowed outward on the 6 player side but an easy fix was to add these sticky pads on the 4 player side to make it more stable. Otherwise it’s a well made item.

  • I order this along with black plague, Wolfsburg and no rest for the wicked all of which are in good condition. This one has a severe dent on the back and I have not opened it so who knows if there is anything damaged inside.

Good but.. the multiverse location cards came bent in the box. not good for people who wanna keep the collection nice. the box was dented in multiple places and ripped on the bottom. Those are the only issues i have though. Organization is way better and it’s nice to have everything in one place. Good product, packaging just needs work unfortunately.

I was very dissatisfied when I saw the case. It was dusty and bent. I immediately thought it was not worth the price I had paid for it. Other than that, the game itself is interesting. It has a different spin on the monopoly formula: the game ends when all the states have been bought and voting when cards come up are 2 of the main changes. It keeps the game short compared to the hours spent on a classic game of Monopoly.

I got the product by the desired time, but the packaging was already opened and the book was torn. I’m a little upset by this and I don’t believe the page said/showed the product being damaged.

This product comes with a folded insert that shows you where to put stuff in the foam, but I still had no clue what to do with the map tiles and character cards. I had to watch a 3rd party video on YouTube to see how someone else did it. Others warned about how the pointy parts of figures tend to get stuck in the foam, and that is definitely true. I added paper inserts (see photo) for those figures where that happens. The hole for Draik is too small and I bent his pipe trying to get him out (thankfully it hasn't fallen off yet)--even with a paper insert to keep his pointy bits from sticking. I swapped him with the shorter psyker figure and that worked great (see photo). I also had to cut the foam between the 2 psyker holes because they are the same size and don't need to be--the hole for the tall psyker model is too small and the pointy tip of his staff gets caught (even with a paper insert) if you don't make the hole bigger (I just cut it so the wall between the 2 holes is a flap). I also had to add paper strips that go under some figures to form 2 straps on either side, so that I can pull on the paper straps to extract the figure from the deep hole. The box lid sits up about 1/2 inch, which I knew was going to happen before I bought this. However, I'd have to say that all of this foam is unnecessary (like we don't need 1/2 inch foam walls to separate the cards, or even to separate the figures for that matter) and so the packing is inefficient (resulting in the high box lid). I thought about getting one of these Feldherr inserts for my Wrath of Ashardalon, but that one has the box lid sit even higher. So for that product, I made my own inserts with less foam and put the cards and tokens in ziplock bags and just piled them into the box along with the tiles, in an area that I sectioned off from the minis with a cardboard divider I cut and glued into the box. My solution has the box lid for that game sit even where it's supposed to be, and the figures are all protected in foam (with room to fit more figures if I want to cram more in), and stuff is bagged like I would want them to be anyway so I can find them easily. It makes me wonder about coming up with my own solution for Blackstone Fortress, but I already paid tons of money for this and the lid sitting up 1/2 inch isn't THAT bad.

Shipping box came undamaged but the game box itself was smashed in one corner with a corner fully torn. The game was still sealed and the outer box is fine so this had to have happened prior to shipping or packaging. Reshipping for a refund will cause me to miss a planned game night that this was for.

The quality is not very good, it is too light, and it will move if you touch it slightly during play, which is a very bad experience
