   after always playing the traditional game I thought id give the new modern version a go, and am so pleased I did its a lot more fascination than the original. theres even a ” bankers ” compartment to stash the money. we,ve played it a lot .

   I bought this game as a gift for the children I babysit. The instructions were not comprehensive and we repeatedly reread them in an effort to find answers to our questions which were never addressed. Also, the game we received is missing a property playing card.

   My husband and I played with our very bright 6 year old grandson and there was some confusion with the rules (all the way around.) Finally, we made up our own simplifed version of the rules. Probably, will not play this particular version of monopoly very often.

   I bought this version, one because it was a great price, and two because my 6 year old loves monopoly so I thought this version might interest him.
   Like all types of monopoly it is a slant on the original game. In short my 6 year old loves this version as you can have skyscrapers, and I like it because it improves my son’s reading and maths. Recommended.

   For those who play the addictive Cityville game on Zynga or Facebook and also love Monopoly, this is a great gift. On the downside, it only has 4 player pieces, so I had to find random objects around the house to allow for more players. The plus side, it comes with 85 free city cash that you can use in the online game. The new rules are fun as well, and I liked how the usual properties are now different buildings from the game. The mystery gift cards are also fun, and allow for bonuses on rent and because you give one every time you get one, it keeps the animosity between players down more.

   I bought this game because I play cityville online. The added bonus is the 85 city cash you can redeem for your online city. Haven’t played it yet, but it looks like it will be fun.

   Got this for my 8 year old son, He loves it.Nice board game, money is different than original monopoly, same kind of principles apply with a bit more sophistication. The player can buy skyscrapers etc. The playing pieces are similar in style to the old monopoly. My 6 year old son found it a bit challenging, but manageable with some assistance. Overall it is another timeless classic for all the family to enjoy. It is selling for such a good price at the moment,so I’d highly recommend it.

   My 7 year old son loved the look of this so much when I bought it for a friend of his that he spent his won money buying a copy. He loves the game. It is a bit quicker than the traditional game as the first one to build 4 skyscrapers wins, but still goes on for longer than we can normally play in one sitting.

   I got this for my 10 yr old son for Christmas. He loves playing Monopoly and we can have games going on for days some times. But, he, his sister and I all agreed that this game beat the original version. I guess if you are sentimental about the original you might not agree, but I don’t know that we’ll go back to playing it now that we have this one. Some of the differences that made it better…the houses/skyscrapers that you build on your property are stackable (how genius!) and they are not built on the square (where they often get bumped and moved by playing pieces)…they each have a spot above their square to be built. There are also decoration cards that you can get that make the game a little more fun. If you land on that spot on the board you draw one card for another player and one for yourself. Those cards allow you to raise the rent on a property of your choice…pretty nice if you have a cheap property. The game is over when the first player builds four skyscrapers, so this game can be over in an hour or so…and not take days to finish. There are other differences, too…like if you draw a card that requires you to pay a bank fee, you get the option then of purchasing any property that the bank still owns. So, you don’t have to land on that property to purchase it. That speeds things up a bit, too. All in all, we certainly had fun playing this one!

    This game is still not that fast. Monopoly was a very slow and boring game. We have yet to finish this game as it was taking a while to get going as well… but the board is fun and it should be pretty fun once we actually get time to finish a game..

    I ordered this via PRIME service. Which you are guaranteed the item within 2 business days. However this company (KAR Solutions) sent me a message 4 days later stating it was a error and needed new shipping date. If you are a PRIME supplier, i think you would do better inventory. I will not buy from this company again. (KAR SOLUTIONS)

    Now the game is great and i like the twist and how this game plays out. Just like real life, the person with the biggest investments and skyscrapers win. or i should say the most wealthiest. We liked the game, just avoid the seller listed above.

    My friends enjoy playing Monopoly and I had never played a full game so I decided to get the city ville version as it was the cheapest (under £7 when I brought it). I had loads of fun with it won the first 3 games I played.
    It is a different board to the original monopoly and all the prices are in dollars but I quite like the idea of building skyscrappers. The pieces are quite good so are the dice although one is meant to be a pidgeon but at a distance it looks more like a blob and it is a shame there are only 4 pieces to play with. Overall it is a very enjoyable game a great way for kids to learn to count. quite an addictive game as many a night we have stayed up to finnish a game. One improvement it would be nice if there was a way of anchoring the houses to the board as they get easily knocked over.

    It is a Monopoly Game with Cityville buildings. It will be a nice way to remember the time I spent building my city before the internet game shut down. It cost very little and is now an addition to my collection of Monopoly games.
