As a Navy spouse you know I had to get this in ten seconds flat for my nephew (whose father is also Navy) and I have to start by saying I do absolutely adore how many items it came with. It has a toy submarine and several little planes, cars and little Navy men that come with it! That was great, and he’s obsessed with the cars.
However the Carrier itself was very unstable when put together, the stickers didn’t quite line up all the way and it was so easily broken.
Whereas he does still play with it, every piece you stick on or in the Carrier is no longer attached. I would recommend this for someone who doesn’t really /care/ per say— because the amount of things it comes with definitely makes up for it.

We bought this as a Christmas gift for a 5 year old boy. he loved it! It has a lot of pieces and doesn’t focus too heavily on weapons, which we liked. It is an impressive gift and a good open-ended toy. The sub has noise buttons too, which is a nice surprise. The hull of the ship stores lots of the loose parts.
