   Its such a boring game that I almost feel it needs to be marketed for children. So far I have played it with 3 different groups and ages and it’s dragged. The feeling of when is this game going to end doesn’t ever leave.

   A really fantastic game from Dr. Knizia. It is full of crazy antics and spiteful retaliation. I’ve played some games where I manage to come in first on most of the scoring opportunities, and others where I barely make it to the end with all the points I started with.

   My only complaint is that the board just will not lay completely flat. I’ve tried bending it backwards slightly and that helps a little but it still is pretty uneven. The other reviewer mentioned sticky cards. I had the same problem and when I first opened the game I practically had to peel some cards apart. But now after a dozen plays and probably several dozens of shuffles, they seem fine. Maybe a little stiff, but not sticky at all.

   But less than perfect components aside, I’d very much recommend this game. Reiner Knizia at his best.

   The game itself is great. The issue is with Osprey Games and their quality control and lack of supporting their product. The cards are a smooth finish that stick together during play. There are also several cards in my set that had a noticeable wrinkle in them that would mark the game. These things are fixed by using specific sleeves, but I shouldn’t have to sleeve a game in order to be ABLE to play it. I’ve reached out to them several times and get standard emails and even told that they would send out a new deck. After a few months with no cards or communication: I’ve given up. I’m sharing my experience and it’s a shame that it is with one of my favorite designer’s games.

   Edit : Osprey Games reached out to me and sent out a replacement deck. They were easy to work with and it came from England well packaged. Thank you!

    I played this for the first time today with my 9 year old twins. It was easy enough to pick up, but strategic enough to keep us captivated. Don’t think that a simple board means that it’s a quick game, it’s not. Our first game took about 45 minutes. It’s definitely one that we’ll come back to time and again. A classic.
