- STRATEGY GAME: What’s a better testament to your great civilization than an awe-inspiring wonder? In 7 Wonders Architects, you’ll have to balance between gathering building materials, developing your civilization’s academics, and maintaining a military, all through a unique card drafting system.
- CIVILIZATION GAME: You’ll develop your civilization and build your wonder by drawing cards from either a deck of face-up cards on your left or on your right. Materials help build your wonder, academics offer victory point bonuses, and military can earn victory points when war erupts.
- DRAFTING GAME: The decks to your left and right are always face-up and shared with the players next to you as well. This open information creates a fun balancing act of drafting the card you need or drafting a card to deny another player.
- GATEWAY GAME: With streamlined and intuitive rules, 7 Wonders Architects is perfect for younger or new board game players. Being able to host 2 to 7 players also makes it a great choice for game night, with either friends or family!
- NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This easy to learn board game for kids and families can be played with 2 to 7 players and is suitable for ages 8 and older. The average playtime is 25 minutes.

7 Wonders Architect is a great game for the whole family! It is a strategy game, but it is usually takes 20-30 min to play one game instead of the hour it takes for Settlers of Catan. Also, our kids can all play independently and they are ages 7-12. It has become our favorite family board game!

I am an avid board game player. I enjoy playing the “father” of this game: Seven Wonders, but it has a complexity about it that frightens casual gamers.
This adaptation : Architects is beautiful. This is how all board games should be produced. The storage system makes it a dream to take out and setup, and while it is easy to explain and teach to others, this doesn’t mean that it is scant on strategy and decision making.
Games generally don’t last more than 20-25 minutes which is just enough for someone to proclaim “Let’s play again!”. Each player has some asymmetrical abilities inherent in their Wonder, but all seem to be expertly balanced and none seem to be clearly at an advantage.
This game quickly took a place as one of my favorites and that is saying something because I literally have hundreds of games. It may seem pricey, but its quality speaks volumes and it will get used a LOT. Congratulations to the manufacturer for a job well done!

This game is great for people who aren’t very hardcore board game enthusiasts. It’s a great game thats not too difficult to learn, has some good strategy for people who want to take it a bit more serious and can be played relatively quickly.
I know in some longer board games I would often get board (no pun intended) after a while either from waiting too long for my turn or not really being able to get into it. I haven’t felt that with this game, it has been lots of fun to play and the duration of 20-30 mins is perfect for not needing to dedicate a whole evening to play it.

Fantastic game! It’s replaced 7 Wonders Duel (7WD) in our two-player family. My gaming buddy has visual impairment. We already own 7W Duel – an excellent game – but the small components and cards were a practical barrier to playing it often. 7W Architects keeps all the great aspects of the 7W franchise (theme, artwork, strategy) and makes it more accessible. The rules are simplified, the components are larger, and the cards have improved contrast and readability. The built-in organizers make the game quick to setup and put away. If you like quick-to-learn games with light strategy, beautiful artwork/theme, and playtime under 1 hour — then do not hesitate to get this game. I ordered a pre-owned version and it was essentially in new condition. This game flexes player count well, and is very enjoyable with 2 players.

This easily became my five year old’s favorite game. We’re big Seven Wonders fans but can’t play usually because we’re parents now and don’t have the time, or space. So as soon as we saw this we vowed to teach our child. He picked up on it so fast and was obsessed. It’s fast paced (not drawn out) in two player and is a great length for more players of the younger age. It was even easy to teach my 72 year old mother how to play. The artwork as per usual is fantastic and the set up and break down is fast. Really really recommend a gateway game to longer form games.
