Tremendous game! I’ve been hearing about Aeon’s End for a while now among the boardgame community. I was hesitant to buy the game because I was worried about the complexity. My family enjoys complex games but those games are hard to get to the table, thus reducing their return on investment. I also hate having to do a rule check for every game turn/action (I’m looking at you Mage knight). This game does not have that problem. It offers a ton of variety and one you understand the basic set up and mechanics you can throw away the rule book. It really is that intuitive.
This game is simply brilliant regardless of player count! I’ve played it solo and multi player and like it equally as much at all player counts. It’s my favorite deck builder and currently my favorite solo experience. It offers so much!
It’s relatively easy to get to the table and offers a big game experience in about an hour and 15 minutes – that is casually playing at any player count.
I highly recommend this game! SO GOOD!

Not like other deck builders. Tons of replayability. Each round is different. Interesting mages, cards and nemesis to mix and match. Scalable difficulty. Amazingly interesting mechanics. A very unique game overall. There is nothing like it. Just buy it, you won’t regret it.
I haven’t really played a lot of other deck builders, and this is my first delve into Aeons End, period. As far as I have heard, War Eternal is a bit more complicated than the base game, but both are stand alone, and it was not too difficult to learn. A good amount of rules to wrap your head around, but once you do, the strategy and variety makes it SO much fun. Terrific with just 2 players. You really get to work together to synergize your card effects and abilities. And when you finally beat that difficult boss, it’s a really great sense of accomplishment.

Arrived in perfect condition. Researched the Aeons end series and decided War Eternal would be the best starting set. Game is easy to learn and there’s lots in the box for replayability. Even though War Eternal has harder bosses, you can play on beginner, normal or expert modes. Highly recommended!
