Took awhile to arrive, but not sellers fault. Arrived in great shape in time for Christmas. Wonderful new set! Has two teams, star players, the field, hardback rule book….lots in the box! We have played Blood Bowl for years and I always cringe when they put out a new set. New rules again? More Orcs and humans? lol Nerd Angst. But, after receiving the new set and getting a look at the new stuff, I’m completely satisfied. Hubs and my son had a great Christmas with this set and two new teams in addition. Fun times!

I can’t say anything bad about this game. It’s incredibly fun, fast and easy to teach. But, it will take some sweet hobbyist time first. The miniatures are immensely detailed and great to assemble though not recommended for a child. The rules may seem overwhelming that’s, like everything Warhammer, because they want to give as much lore and perspectives as possible.
Painting is unnecessary but adds extra value to the experience and it’s real fun to add your own flavour to personalise your team. This is perfect for couples or parent bonding. Best of all though is the gameplay. The strategy, the setting, the cartoonesque brutality everything is made with one thing in mind: FUN. Hugely recommended, there are many good reasons why this game is still relevant after 4 decades (*Warhammer in general is a huge, awesome rabbit hole just made to suck you in)(and to never release you from it…)

It’s a great box set for any model/board game enthusiast. Everything in the box is of good quality as you would expect from gamesworkshop/Warhammer. Models require assembly as they come on sprue full assembly instructions included, can be a little fiddly. Games take between 1-3 hours of playtime but as familiarity with the rules grows it speeds things up, loads of extra team rules included but not all of the teams Norse boardgamesweekly.com or Khorn are not, but there’s plenty of rules online or official expansion products available. All in all great game fun to build fun to paint & play if it’s your thing. Only played exhibition matches so far but looking forward to starting a league and tournament with friends in the near future.

I really like the quality of the figures (assembly required), as well as the quality of the hardback Rules Handbook and the game board. The game comes with two full teams as well as everything you need to play the game . It’s a fun 2-person game, and we are having a great time in our local league. We didn’t need to buy the full starter set to play in the league, but I’m glad we did. We are able to practice at home, as well as study the rules.
