Far from perfect, but when you solve the rulebook and get to playing, it’s a fun beer and pretzels game for any Borderlands fan. Definite worth the $66 it’s selling for right now.

Ill try to keep this brief. If you love Borderlands, you MAY like this game. Firstly, this game is sort of Ameri-thrash Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion but with a shit rulebook. If that is a turn off or means nothing to you, I’d steer clear. Really, what youre paying for is a bunch of minis. By that I mean 4 Vault Hunters, a big Psychoreaver, and about 30 enemies with 6 sculpts. If you want to paint them up, they’re of wonderful quality and detail. I think if you love Borderlands, you’ll be a little disappointed because there is no story–it is simply a dungeon crawler. The biggest negative to this game is that I don’t think you get much replay-ability in this core box. I backed this on Kickstarter and got 2 additional scenarios as well as the “box of badasses.” The box of badasses is where most of the replay-ability and love of Borderlands will come through because unlike the core box, nearly every Vault Hunter from every version of Borderlands is in that box. As far as I can tell, that box and the additional characters is unavailable. $120 for 4 Vault Hunters and 1 scenario simply isn’t worth it. If they make more characters available, then there’s a lot to this game. I’ve been enjoying it and getting my Borderland fan friends into it as well.

The product is amazing quality and very fun to play with the different stories and such. Doesn’t take too much strategy as the characters usually overpower easily making it easier for younger kids to play. Definitely well worth the money and highly recommend it to anyone who’s a borderlands fan!

Thought i would enjoy it but gearbox clearly only knows how to create video games as this was obviously their first board game and kickstarter. Tons of errors in the rule book. Clucky mechanics and with some focus for inbetween games to level up instead of focusing on the current scenario. Lots of stuff after one but going to have to do a lot of house rules to make this even playable. Do not buy.
