- The figures are created according to the evolution of the Knight to a noble, elegant guardian and protector, during the renaissance period. In order to become a knight, one had to be trained in hunting and traveling and familiarize themselves with horses and warfare. At the age of 20 they were knighted at a special ceremony during which they were given their swords and had to swear to use them only for sacred and fair purposes.(S12)
