   We are very happy with this backgammon set. The set is constructed very well with all edges finished nicely, the board closes completely and the latches work as needed to keep the set closed and sealed. The leather finish is very nice and the chips are good quality. I have read some of the other reviews that say the quality is not very good, but based on the set we received we have had a very different experience. I think for the price of this set it is a very high quality board. ***UPDATED 1/4/16: We have had this set for several months now and use it regularly. The quality has held up and the set still looks like it is brand new even though we use it so much and take it with us to places to play. HIGHLY recommend this set.

   After searching and searching and searching for a reasonably priced backgammon with some quality, I’ve found the one! This set is very good for the price. The pieces are well made, the stiching and board is accurate and the overall board seems durable. Youre not going to find top quality latches and luxury felt in this set but, for the price that is expected. The outside finishing is decent, cheaper feeling in hand but looks great in a living room for example. The size of the board is where the board gets 5 stars. Considering the large size along with the price and aforementioned quality, this board is highly recommended!

   I had the option of three sizes and I went with the large. It’s really well made. He pieces are weighty, and the board has vinyl to hold them so no worry about them moving around as occurs with less expensive sets! My only complaint is the directions. They are written in light orange lettering on white paper which is VERY difficult to read AND he lettering is VERY tiny! My husband and I are beginners so the directions are important to us. Yes, I realize we can go online and obtain directions or watch videos but at this price I think the directions should be printed in black text and certainly in a normal text size. If the typical email is written in #10 font, this font is around a 5? I’d have given this 5 stars had the company not tried to save a dollar with the printing.

   My parents have a real leather backgammon board that I fondly remember my entire life playing games with. This one looks exactly like it, but with fake leather. I was very pleased with this as a gift I bought for my friend. It’s good quality, it arrived on time, and the smaller size is good for traveling. The larger size will be more comfortable for table play. The only negative thing is that when I opened the box the first time to gift wrap it, the fake leather has a horrible smell. So I let it air out over night before I gift wrapped it. That seemed to help the gross, plastic like smell to go away.

    For the price this was a great set . Not a superior set if you are looking for top top quality , but this is very good quality for what I paid . Doesn’t look cheaper chintzy all the stitching is well done . It is super large . Larger than I thought it would be . I like that a lot . If you’re looking for something to take with you when you travel and/or just for casual play this is a great board . All the hinges and the handle seems very sturdy . I don’t have anything negative to say about the board . Should be a great board for kids and teenagers . You’re serious player and want a high-quality board , you should buy something in the higher price range . All in all though I’m very happy and will use this board for years to come .

    I love to play backgammon, but up until recently, I was forced to play on a board printed on glossy paper. Years ago, I had owned a case like this, but after it got stolen, I never got around to replacing it. … until now.

    I love being able to play on a properly stitched board with pieces that don’t move when my dice bump into them.

    I took advantage of boardgamesweekly.com’s Prime Day when Alexa (my voice computer) got me a $10 discount on this case, and I love it. I also use it to carry material with me. That way, if I have homework with me at the library, I can also enjoy a game of backgammon when a friend happens to be there.
