   This game is much more than what it needs to be. As a fairly hardcore Buffy fan I was really looking for a novelty game to add to my ridiculous shine of memorabilia, but what I got was actually so much more. The games mechanics are actually very in-depth for a hasbro title, and create a game environment that is far better than anything I could have thought. The true value though in this game lies in the community that it has created. Buffy fans are hardcore, thats a given, but fans of this game have created scenarios that take the game far past its normal playability. All in all, very solid, very fun.

   We just played this game with our group. On the very first turn of the game, we lost to the Master. Assuming this was somehow a mistake, we spent the next 15 minutes trying to figure out what we did wrong. To the best of our knowledge & after lots of double checking, we did not. The fact alone that this is possible really is a big knock on the game.

   Everything appears to be in the box, but some pieces and the box itself was in pretty rough shape. It was not collectible quality. I wasn’t exactly looking for brand new, but the quality wasn’t nearly as advertised.

   Love this except my new game was missing a few pieces. I found all of the missing pieces except 1 on EBay. This last missing piece is very important to one of the villain’s stake in the game.

   The game itself (and gameplay), I give 4 stars. However, I give 3 stars to SKL Discounts for sending a “collectible” quality game they said was in good condition and complete. The game is only in fair condition and quite worn, and the set is missing the black and white life tokens. This is not a game killer, and we make do with tokens I made from construction paper. For $38 I had hoped for a bit better… but the listing was not true to the product I was sent.

   This is a lot of fun once you get through the rules (of which there are many). If you are a fan of the show then once you internalize the back of forth of the rolling, moving and special tools and connect it to the logic of the show, it really takes off. Enjoy!

    I love this game. Along with Firefly the board game it is one of only two license board games I have ever played that was actually good. My only complaint is the lack of sufficient continuity. Being able to play as Oz during the first session could potentially be explained by Oz attended Sunnydale High as a Junior during the 96-97 school year, but him being a werewolf during that time is inexcusable. His cousin Jordy didn’t bite him until just before the events of Phases in season two. If you are a huge fan of the show but less insane than I am you should have no problems what so ever.
