Man, I’m really upset. I bought this as a gift for my dad as a make-up Christmas gift since what I bought him didnt work out, and the box had a huge hole in the back, but the boardgamesweekly.com shipping box was fine. The seller also gave a HUGE shipping window, which was extremely frustrating because I needed it ASAP. Since the sellers were very close to me, it was absolutely frustrating that it took almost two weeks to be sent out for shipping when it took literally a day to ship and arrive at my house. I love the game, but the whole experience makes me want to return it and reinvest the money in a non-damaged product and company that actually cares about their sales.

This Simpsons game is really great! I had never even heard of Codenames but was looking for a cool Simpsons game to give my husband for our anniversary. Takes a few minutes to understand the directions, but easy to set up and so much fun! We played with our 5 year old daughter who has never seen the Simpsons and she had a blast too. Great for fans of the show but will delight and entertain anyone.

The pictures on the cards are so bold and clear in comparison to some of the other editions of this game, namely the Harry Potter version. It makes it both easier to see and make clues for these, while not necessarily making the game itself easier. I’m a huge Simpsons fan and played this with a mix of other fans, casual viewers and people who had no level of familiarity with the show, and we all agreed that we liked using these cards best. I didn’t expect this to surpass the Disney version as my new favorite.
The only disappointments are that the teams aren’t Itchy and Scratchy like initially advertised, they are Bart and Homer. Also, previous versions of this game have come with little resealable pouches to store the cards in so they aren’t loose in the box, this version did not. Neither of these are enough to make me want to dock a star, but I felt they might be worth noting.

There’s not a ton to say about this one, if you know Codenames this is a nice theming of it that will satisfy Simpsons fans. If you’re a Simpsons fan and not necessarily into board games this is an entertaining party game. You only have to be casually knowledgeable about the show to enjoy it.
