Walkthrough review: the cutest and coziest game! Verified Buyer –

Super cute concept, strategy meets chance, and the best thing is a solo play option! Art is great as well as quality of game pieces and cards. 👍👍

It’s like a mobile smartphone game. Not too complicated. So cute. Not competitive.

Like other reviewers, I think this game is the right level of challenging, totally adorable, and beautifully decorated. What I wanted to mention was noticing that the game features almost no chances to directly interfere with another player, making it family friendly in a way I don’t always see. It’s just not a high temper, fight provoking game. So, take that as you will, depending on your desire to get vicious in your gaming.

If you are looking for something for kids or a family that is more then My Little Scythe but is not Feld level, this is a great bet. Very fun game. Great art. Lots of good combos and choices. Excellent component quality. Game is very good. Just be aware that it is not a heavy game, but at the same time it has more to it than many family weight games. Hits an interesting but neglected spot in between the family and more mid-weight games. Cool theme.

The product arrived in perfect condition. I read through the rulebook, and it was very easy to learn and understand the game. The game is simple, but still provides strategy as you need to decide where to place all of your die each round. My boyfriend and I played it yesterday for the first time and we really enjoyed it. It was charming, relaxing, and the artwork is beautiful. We played the short version which is 6 months / rounds and it took us about 2 hours but that’s with referencing the rule book occasionally. Overall, we really enjoyed the game and are happy it’s now a part of our collection!
Update 6/30/23: we still have only played the “short version” of this game but now only takes us a little over hour to play. Still love the game!

If you like “Everdell” than you’ll feel right at home with this game. It’s simpler and lighter than Everdell. It is NOT a 40-minute game, and this has been said by all professional reviewers. If you choose a Standard Game, expect to play 2 hours (it took us 3 hours). So you could stay solid with the ‘shorter version’ format. Now, it’s NOT for 8-year olds. This is more for 12-year olds and up (maybe 10 y.o.). It’s complex. You have to make strategic decisions. It can take a bit to understand but you’ll get it after the first round, especially if you have played other Worker Placement games like Everdell. It’s a hard game, and you have to be patient. Every one needs to make many decisions during their turn so for those that play slow or take a while to make their move you’ll have to have patience. Component quality is solid, I would have loved the Kickstarter version but this works just good. The cardboard components are a tad small and can easily be lost. But it is a good game, highly recommend it as a worker/dice placement game. Just be prepared for a 2-3 hour sit down.

My eight-year-old son loves this game! We tried playing it when he was seven, but it was too complicated. What a difference one year has made. The components are high-quality, the board is very thoughtfully designed, and it is easy to see a lot of effort was put into designing all the various aspects of this game. I really like the nature and animal aspect of the game. The gameplay itself is quite peaceful, as each player is trying to build their own den, so there’s not cutthroat competitive play against each other. The gameplay always takes over an hour, and each player’s turn can be long with all the different steps they need to take (I noticed my son focusing on a different toy when it’s my turn.) This is a long game for a child to stay focused on, however, each time it is my son‘s turn, he has fully engaged back into the game and never loses interest in it. This is a good game for somebody that is seriously into gaming or perhaps, looking for a gateway game for their children. Both learning the game and understanding the rules take effort, unlike the simpler games of Uno and Sorry. The set up and clean up is not unbearable, but does take a little bit of time, which is well worth it to play such a pleasant game!
