   Yes it’s nice but not for the price. Mine came damaged and the pieces are not as heavy as i would expect brass and metal. It’s not bad but the price is to high.

   Great set. The pieces are heavy and have a great feel to them. I personally didn’t like the hinged board and I use the pieces on another board that I already had. However, hinged board was good quality and if I wanted a travel set I would buy this again strictly for that purpose (or maybe I will just grab some cheap glass or plastic pieces for the one I have).

   AWESOME product , very good quality the pieces are the traditional design, so they are easy to tell apart, perfect size, metal pieces that are going to last a lifetime and then some. I have one that I bought at the 1980 WORLD’S Fair, but it’s too big and the design to elaborate hard to tell a Bishop from a queen…. I’m very happy with my purchase

   Pieces are beautiful, but one of the colors is green and not a fan. Most importantly is that the board was made incorrectly with the piece squares flipped, therefor the Queen can’t play on its color.

   I am an avid chess player and I wanted an heirloom-quality chess set with metal pieces that I can teach my grandkids to play on as well as leave to them when I pass from this world. This set is perfect. High-quality , heavy metal pieces with clear details in a fine wooden box with foam cutouts for each piece in the appropriate shape. My only quibble is that the bronze and green colors and a bit too similar but still easily distinguishable in good light.     The pieces are lovely. Great weight. Genuine metal not plastic. The foam casing is great.
    The clasps have had little bearings fall out. Not a big deal. But the board is stuck to the timber case. It’s the only reason this didn’t get a 5 star. For the price it’s no issue. Overall a great portable set.
