1. Review of Dominion expansion ADVENTURES game Verified Buyer – 20 July 2024

   Note!!! Because this is an expansion, it does not include any of the the Basic Supply Cards This is quite an expansion for Dominion, not only are there several more kingdom cards to play with, they introduce a THREE new type of cards: Event, Reserve, and Traveler. In addition, there also some more Duration cards. They seem like a great way to increase the complexity of the Dominion game, which those who are looking for a little more out of Dominion will really like. Event cards are a new type of card that provide bonuses to your turn and future turns. When an event is purchased, the card is not added to your deck. It does use up one of your buys to purchase an event. More than one event can be purchased in a turn, including the same event. For more detailed information on the individual Event cards check out this Wikipedia page: http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/Event Reserve cards are a new type of card that are kind of like a duration card that have bonuses that are “on-demand”. When you play the reserve card, you get the immediate bonuses of it, as like any action card, but during the clean-up phase of your turn you move the Reserve card to your Tavern Mat. On any future turn, you may recall your Reserve card from your Tavern Mat for yet more bonuses. To recall your Reserve card from the mat does not cost you an action. Some Reserve cards require certain criteria to be recalled such as the card Duplicate. Duplicate can be recalled when a card is bought costing 6 or less and once recalled it gives you a copy of that card. Traveler cards are the third new type of card. These are cards that can be upgraded when discarded from play, which is different from being discarded during your clean-up phase. There are two series for the upgrades, the Page and the Peasant. With each upgrade there are better bonuses. The Page series goes: Page -> Treasure Hunter -> Warrior -> Hero -> Champion The Peasant series goes: Peasant -> Soldier -> Fugitive -> Disciple -> Teacher There are also tokens (made of heavy duty card board, not metal like in prosperity) that can be added to card supply piles to added bonuses whenever a card is gained from those supplies piles. These token are placed on the supply piles as a result of Event cards, Action cards or Attack cards. As you can see, a lot of new playing styles/elements are added to the game of Dominion with this expansion. My buddies and I have played the Dominion series quite a bit and have seemed to have tried all the playing styles so we were looking forward to this expansion and trying out some new strategies. It is a must have for fans of the Dominion series. I would not recommend this as the first expansion for you to buy after Dominion or Dominion Intrigue because the new complexity of it could easily overwhelm newcomers to the game. Prosperity would be a good a first expansion if you are a newcomer and is personally my favorite expansion yet. Update: Cards are very flimsy! 3-stars do to low quality of product

   Great expansion, with lots of new cards and different types of moves (recurring cards, storing cards and trade-able cards) which makes the game more interesting. Even with the same set of cards, each game can turn out very differently.

   Probably my favorite expansion at the moment. The reserve cards are so much fun to play with and the extra event cards after just buying Empires adds so much more variety. Most sets usually have a portion of those dud cards but every card in this set is great!

   Fun! Lots of options and works well with the base and other expansions. Good balance of attack cards, chaining cards and event cards. Keeps things interesting and replayable.

   Es la mejor expansión de dominion. Leí algunas opiniones que decían que las cartas eran diferentes que el resto de las versiones españolas, pero no es así. No se diferencian en nada. Es cierto que las fichitas de cartón podrían tener más calidad, pero esto no afecta en nada a la hora de jugar.
