   Probably the best Dominion expansion. The debt mechanic is interesting, but really there a just a lot of really fun cards to play in this set. The landmarks really help keep the game fresh by tweaking the scoring.

   Great game! The debt cards are just not very good (Dave Ramsey would be proud) they just aren’t as good for how much they cost, though obviously it’s a trade off for the flexibility of being able to purchase them anytime. Still, we found as we played that we only bought them if there wasn’t another card that fit what we needed, and tried to take on either zero debt or very little so it didn’t affect future turns as much.

   I love the rest of it, though! The event and landmark cards are really fun and mix things up a lot. Some are a nice bonus, and some drastical change the whole strategy of the game. They were very stellar! It’s especially good to pair with Prosperity, I think we only played 1 round without platinum and colonies before deciding they were essential. It was a better fit, since some of the cards cost 8 but really aren’t worth passing up a province unless there are colonies in play. (we have typically played a 50/50 split Empires and Prosperity)

   Better expansions: Prosperity, Adventures (buy those first, but this is a nice addition if you already have those)

   Love the debt mechanic and the new events/landmarks bring such variety to the game. I also just bought adventures and a bunch of cards combo really well between sets. Highly recommend!

   Another awesome Dominion expansion. More events, another orange card, more victory token cards, debt tokens which allow purchases before you can afford them, and stacks that change halfway through the pile. Cool stuff that plays well. Also a new card type: Landmarks. Landmarks are essentially additional victory point goals. For instance, one of them gives 3VP for each set of copper/silver/gold you have at game’s end.

   Castle victory card stack has cards worth more and more VP as you buy into it and they have abilities.

   There’s a treasure/action card that will double an action OR treasure card it is played with!

   I loved the previous expansion Adventures but this set plays a little bit smoother. Fun new mechanics and cool angles on old ones.
