   This is a great game which does an admirable job of capturing the latest incarnation of the Doom console game. Downtime across players is kept manageable and even when I repeatedly lose, I still have a blast. I own the original Doom board game from FFG and loved that but this, in my mind, overall, is better. The theme is the same, obviously, but it’s a whole different game so a worthy purchase if you love Doom and already own a copy of the original.

   This stuff is the best. It’s detailed, strategic, replay ability is nuts. the number of figures is rare for board games. The only thing that I semi don’t like is that it doesn’t have hell knights.

   I gave this as a birthday gift to a friend who I play the dark souls board game with so with that, we picked this game up on first play through and have all taken turns playing as the demons since. This a fantastic representation of the doom video game and has a good power balance. We have gotten our setup time down to 15 minutes making this one of the faster board games we play and average play time with 4 players is 2h30m and everyone has taken a turn controlling multiple pinkies and at least a baron so can confirm, it’s fun. Hoping for an expansion for this game someday. Almost forgot: miniature quality is mind blowing for the price

   Doom is a highly underrated and addicting board game. There are many one versus all board games but this one stands as one of the best IMO. The game is fast paced, complex and customizable. My friends and I have had hours of back and forth fun in Doom. As I mentioned before this game is complex AT FIRST. I found it helpful to watch Board Game Replay’s Doom play through on YouTube. The friendly people in the Doom forum on Board Game Geek have also been helpful. Here’s everything the game comes with: – 12 Very replayable missions that can be done in 1-6 mission operations, custom operations, or single missions. – 6 Different starting weapons (2 of each), 3 types of grenades (2 of each), and 5 powerful weapon pickups. – 3 Manuals (Learn To Play, Rules Reference, and Operation Guide) – 37 Detailed plastic figures (4 marines, 33 demons). – 6 Dice (4 Red, 2 Black) – 196 Various Cards – 179 Various Tokens – 24 Map Tiles (Double-Sided) – 8 Doors With Stands I have read other people complain about the marines being OP. This really depends on your gaming group because I beat down my two friends as the Invader player more often than not. Other groups I have heard the balance being close to even. I would recommend using all 4 marines for the BEST balance possible. If your group favors one team then consider adding/subtracting the number of frag tokens that the Invader needs to win the game. Also an optional alternative variant that our group uses is called the Doom: Hurt Me Plenty Edition. It’s the 2nd result in Google on the website Board Game Geek. The file is in PDF format. This variant slightly shifts the balance towards the Invader player.
