   A top-quality game from a world-class game designer. If you enjoy heavy euro-style games, I highly recommend this one. (emphasis on heavy, though. It will take a while to learn the rules)

   A wonderful game. We recommend it most highly. I am glad we spent the extra money for the deluxe version. In addition to some more attractive pieces, the deluxe version gives you the ability to change the layout of downtown so Lisboa stays fresh and different each time. My only complaint is that it takes forever to set it up, and when our friends go home it takes forever to pack it away. I guess set up should be a group project with everybody helping. That’s why I subtracted half a star.

   We use the Viticulture coins along with some Roman coins I bought for Concordia because the coins that come with Lisboa are ludicrous. But it’s not important. Just buy some nice metal game coins that can be used with various games.

   I highly recommend Larry Schneider’s Lisboa: Nice and Slow on You Tube.
