I played the special edition of JFY at a game night on Staten Island. In the special edition, each player decides the outcome for him or herself, and up to six can play. The board has various colors on it. You advance one space up the board each time you guess the outcome of a case correctly. It takes eight correct outcome guesses to win. You have a 50/50 shot in all cases. After hearing a brief synopsis of the case, you must decide whether the court ruled FOR or AGAINST the person stated.
Here’s a twist to make it interesting. If your piece is on the same color as another player(s), you must consult with the player(s) to agree on the same verdict in order to move ahead. This forces players to occasionally give in to someone else for the sake of advancing on the board.
A fun game that features actual court cases around the world, going back as far as the 16th century. It’s also different and unique. It will probably spice up a game night.

Bought this game becasue when we are on our family vacation we play this game. My mother is getting older and probably won’t be able to make it this year to our favorite vacation spot that we thought we would bring the game to her. Thank you

Everyone from age seven on up loves this game, adults and kids equally. We don’t even play to win or loose, we just make teams of two and take turns judging. We have yet to have anyone come over and not like this game.

As an attorney, I find it interesting to see how the cases worked out.

Great game to play entertaining and fun too. If you like to express you opinion to verdicts too. Especially when your incorrect answers are a surprise

Practice in being a judge? Sure, if it’s between say 1830-1980. Not many or any case studies after 1980, and a lot of laws have changed since then. Most of the answers are common sense (based on common English law) if you take a minute to think about them. An interesting game, but it’s no kind of prep for law school if that’s what your looking for.

I played this game a few years ago, and ever since then I could not stop thinking about it. I looked every where when I found it I was so happy, I love this game very much. It’s interesting and fun. It’s fun to see what people are going to say about the cases after they read them and the answer. Its like you are the lawyer very nice very fun. One of those gotta have games. I give it 10/10.
