   I had originally gotten this game from Walmart.com. The quality was not good, but it was cheaper. The horses all fell over if you bumped one.

   I returned it and ordered this one from boardgamesweekly.com. Much better quality. At first the grommets would stick to the stalk of the horses and pull out of the board. But after a few uses, they quit sticking and now, I love this board!

   I tell everyone not to get the one from Walmart. It’s worth the little bit extra, much better quality.

   Not an inexpensive game but it is beautifully crafted and such a fun game for a group. Played it with a group of 12 girls from golf league and we played for hours and laughed until we cried. You may win a little money and lose a little money but that is horse racing. Then had a group of 8 friends to our home and they were a little apprehensive at first then really got into the game and had a ball and wanted to play over and over again. Now they are all buying the game to have at their homes.

   Absolutely love this game and have had 5 of our friends and family also purchase this game because of the fun we have playing it. HOWEVER not all the pieces fit in the holes. Some horses holes are too big and a struggle. Trying to figure out a solution to making the horses move smoothly

   My board came warped, one of the horses has a deformed leg that keeps it from mounting correctly and another shipped with foreign material stuck between the jockey and the horse. I went with the Fineni brand precisely because I was worried about quality and I should have spent less money, for poor quality, with some other brand.

   We took this to my daughter’s on Thanksgiving, where there was a Pastor and a small church group for the occasion. We got out the Fancy cherry wood horse race game. 8 played, laughed, hooted, Hollard, and played 3-4 races. They enjoyed it so much, I could easily sell 4 more games for you. They still greet my daughter by asking “where did your dad get that horse game – we can’t find it, and we want some of them…”
   I have nothing but good to say about the workmanship and quality. I am a wood worker myself and I am impressed with the detail and finish – Nice job. This model is still unavailable. too bad.. Also the detail of the metal horses and pricey look and feel is a grand touch, caught everyones eye. The supplied deck of cards with rose look & feel almost metal, I keep for show and NOBODY touches them – too beautiful.

   This wooden board has a finished edge & I believe it is far more durable compared to the others. The game is easy to learn & a blast to play. Love the fancy playing cards. If taken care of, this game board can be handed down for several generations to come. Packaging was excellent & nothing was damaged or missing. I wish they would make a carrier to protect & to hold everything in one place but there are plenty of options out there. I am extremely pleased with this purchase & seller

   High quality game board with metal eyelets and metal horses. The only reason i’m knocking off a star is that the board isn’t finished wood, it’s raw. For the money I paid, it would’ve been expected the board had a clear poly coating on it at the VERY least. I don’t want to ruin the board, so I’ll be putting on a coat of clear poly to protect it. There are also a couple loose eyelets that came out when pulling a horse out of it, but that’s nothing a little drop of glue won’t fix – not enough to dock it another star. Overall, very happy with this purchase and i’m soooo excited to break this out during the holidays!

    We are boaters and on rainy days this keeps us busy for hour’s and because these are metal horses vs. plastic when you have drunk people screaming for their horse to win you don’t have to worry the horses getting put down during the races especially when there’s $$$ money involved! LOL! Also, because of my cheap husband we initially bought the cheaper “plastic” version and right out of the box horse #5 came out broken so we returned and bought this and are pleased and with the different colored horses as it’s easier to differentiate the horses during game and the metal is very durable and sturdy! It’s worth spending the extra money!
