   I’ve played the Hanabi game a bunch and was excited to see you could buy the tile version again (instead of cards) even though it’s fairly expensive. Unfortunately, upon receiving the game, it seemed like the tiles were either a low quality or used. They have a ton of scratches and oils on them.

   Hanabi is a fun, cooperative game of deduction that people of all gaming complexity will enjoy.

   This game is amazingly fun! My girlfriend and I have played it at least twice a week since we got it. Unfortunately, this also means we discovered the weakness of the tile faces scratching so that grey is starting to show.

   We love Hanabi. Had the deck of cards for a couple years. But for playing at home we wanted the chunky tiles. Great buy. Should have done it a long time ago. My wife’s favorite game.

   A few if my friends and I love the Hanabi card game. I got this one for one of them for Christmas and she’s enamored with it. Great gift for fans of the card version.

   We love the look and feel of the tiles. They’re satisfying to handle and look elegant lined up on the table. We like it better than the cards.

   The artisan expansion is exciting, though I’ll admit we haven’t tried it yet. The way it’s implemented, it’s easy to play without it if you like.

   This is a fun and engaging cooperative game that the whole family can enjoy. The quality of the tiles (and even the box!) will ensure this game endures the ravages of time and will be passed down for generations.

   I gave this game a present to my husband who loved the first one. The tiles do damage quite easily so they must be coated. Then we started playing the game and we realized there were 4 sets of white 3s, so count your tiles before starting a game.

    If you’ve read about the “overwhelming smell” from other reviewers, that is gone. Or I just happened to get lucky. But there was NO discernible oder whatsoever. My only complaint is that the images are simply printed on that face of the tiles. Given time, with the way the tiles are “shuffled” on the table, those printed images absolutely will wear off. So to protect them, I gave a few layers of clear coat to protect them. Clear Diamond Finish by KBS dries fast, clean, and hard, and most importantly, doesn’t react with the material of the tiles. Some aerosol solvents may melt the surface or strip the printed images, but I had good results with this product, FYI. Now, I wouldn’t have had to do that if R&R Games Inc. had spent the money in production to have the images inset and filled with an epoxy color. Charge me another $10 for the retail price, but give me a good quality product. Please. This game is solid, but as a Deluxe edition, I feel it could have been a bit better. Hopefully they will run another edition one day and give us some nicely engraved tiles that can take a beating and still hold a clear design, but for now this is worth a purchase.
