I got this for my husband as a Christmas gift and he absolutely loved it! It looks and feels way more expensive than it is and it looks beautiful as decoration. Each piece is beautifully carved and both the pieces and the base are super sturdy! My parents thought we spent hundreds of dollars on it so it’s definitely not cheap looking.
The only thing is that we will end up buying the protective felt for the bottom of the pieces but that’s an easy and cheap upgrade. Other than that, this chess set is absolutely beautiful!

Disappointed, the chess board is not regular sized. It all seems to be made well but I just didn’t think about checking the dimensions of the board. If your wanting a smaller set this is great but not for a coffee table
