   I bought the chess board and it looks fantastic. A couple of months after I bought it, I dropped a white rook on tile floor and the piece broke. I contacted Radicaln, I told them I dropped it and I asked them if I could buy a replacement piece. They replied right away and told me that they’d send me a replacement at no charge. About a week later, I received a package with all four rooks in it. I assume that they did this to make sure that the pieces looked the same.

   This service really exceeded expectations and I am really glad that I bought my chess board from this company.

   I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband and he absolutely loved it, it’s a beautiful chess set. The cross on the king was broken, but I emailed them and I got a response right away and in no time we had our new piece. The new piece received was a little larger than the other pieces but it was okay since we also received a cream colored king. Both kings are larger than the other pieces, but it worked out, we actually like it more that way.

   I couldn’t be happier with this high-quality chess set. It’s the chess set that I’ve always dreamed of having. Whoever was responsible for the packaging did a heck of a job protecting the pieces from breaking. I suspect you could drop this container from a skyscraper and the content would land unharmed. There were boxes within boxes, multiple layers of bubble wraps, and enough tape to go around the Great Pyramid of Giza. Needless to say, all my chess pieces arrived intact. True, some of the black pieces are not completely black–just very, very dark shades of grey (like Batman’s style sense in The Lego Movie), but they still look nice and not out of place within the set. All the pieces have one-inch diameter in the base, so I ordered circular felt pieces after confirming the dimensions of the base. I used craft-grade glue to adhere the felt pieces to the bottom of each piece, and it’s a perfect fit. I just had to wait for the glue to dry before putting the pieces back onto the board. Craftsmanship is top-notch for the pieces, and it’s a joy to handle them in your hands.

   Feels solid, looks fantastic. Packed very well so nothing was broken (saw some reviews that concerned me about pieces coming broken, looks like that is fixed). The board is nice and heavy everything feels quality. One miter joint is slightly open but has been filled so doesn’t really show that much, but it doesn’t hurt the aesthetic of the board. Do realize that you’ll have not case to hold the pieces and the board obviously doesn’t fold so you’ll need space to put it away or just have it on display. Glad I ordered this one. Oh and the board is slightly bigger that the cheaper sets so that’s good too

   The chess set came beautifully packaged and all the pieces were perfect.
   I am thrilled with the set, it is very high quality and looks way more expensive than it was. The pieces are easily distinguishable and very well cut, and the colours are clearly black and beige marble. I do play chess, but I’ll keep this as an ornament instead as it’s so classy looking.

   I bought this for my husband’s birthday as he has always wanted a good chess set. I researched many sets and I was initially looking for a wooden set but I couldn’t find a well crafted one in my price range. I’m delighted with this set. For the price it looks much more expensive than it is. There were no scratches or chips in the marble and it is now a permanent fixture on the coffee table as it looks so good.

   The first set we got had a broken piece and had clearly been shipped and returned by someone else. Reshipping defective items is not a good policy. We were promptly sent a replacement set that was well crafted and beautiful. I will give this 5 stars because we were promptly sent a replacement.

    A chess set to last a lifetime. I’ve been an avid chess player for fun most of my life, and I’ve gone through a dozen cheap chess sets. This is not cheap. This is a great set. Everything is extremely solid and weighted, amazing hand work, and the packaging serves as a storage box. Would buy this again, but likely won’t have to haha.

    The set is fine. It IS described as black and white, which it is, but the picture of it on the internet makes the white pieces look more pink. Otherwise it is fine and was very well packaged. Unfortunately the pieces are breakable and no real secure way of storing the pieces is provided unless you want to keep the original packaging.

    Don’t get me wrong, this set looks great for the most part. Mine has some scuffs on the board as well as some of the squares not being fully polished and left with a very, very rough finish. The majority of them are fine, but the 3 or 4 that aren’t fully polished, it feels essentially like raw, uncut stone. The pieces are fine. There is definitely a lot more detail in the pictures. The rooks are pretty rough looking and the knights don’t look very similar to the images. The king and queens are as pictured. I don’t really know what is wrong with the pawns, but compared to other wood, glass and stone sets I have seen, they just look a little bit off. The pads that are included are almost laughable. The padding is tall enough that it throws off the center of balance on basically every single piece to the point of them falling over with a slight bump of the table of a slight breeze. I wanted to use the pads as to not scratch the board, but I would rather eventually scratch the board than have a piece tip over and break.
