   The chess figures really look like traditional pieces. I did not give it five stars for craftsmanship, only because they were not there nicest chess pieces this company makes. But for around the $60 price that I paid, the chess pieces are still very nicely carved and worth the price. To get there nicer looking chess pieces, at the time that I looked, they were over $100. I was concerned at around $60 that the set would not be real marble. Well, it is real marble. It’s not top quality marble, but nice marble for a chess set. Because of it being real marble, the board is relatively heavy for a chess board. It’s definitely not a “travel on vacation” chess set. I was also concerned, that at such a low price for a marble chess set, that the board would not hold together. I’ve had it for about one year. With the normal use I’ve given it, it it holds together very well. I don’t think I will have to be concerned in the future that the marble squares for the board will fall apart. It also looks great on my living room table. Because of how impressive it looks, I think it makes me look like a better chess player then I actually am. So, I hope that might give me an advantage and intimidate the other player to help me win.

   This chess set looks and feels premium. Each piece has a good weight to it. Packaging was very secure came in a huge box within another box with the board and pieces wrapped in styrofoam and tape. Set also came with felt which you peel and stick to the bottom of each piece to prevent scratches to the board. Highly recommend this set.

   I am in love with this chess set! The pictures do not do it justice! It looks incredibly expensive and each piece is beautifully handcrafted. If you are considering this set just buy it! I had a question and had to reach out to the company’s costumer service and they were prompt and so nice to deal with. I will definitely purchase from them in the future.

    Beautiful, even more beautiful than I’d hoped for – well worth it, and just a gorgeous centrepiece for our coffee table, even the kids play it, admittedly the pieces are marble so breakable, but sturdy enough for a responsible player. We’ve been playing every evening, it’s gorgeous to look at too!

    Every piece feels heavy and good in the hand. The only thing to note is there is no carrying case and you have to put the pads on the bottom of every piece yourself.

    This is a quality chess set that I enjoy using, it’s great quality, and the pieces are very well crafted overall in all aspects. The board is great too. There are two pieces that are hard to differentiate sometimes while you’re playing at night and you’re tired. I believe it’s the bishop and the pawn or the bishop and king. That is my only complaint with the chess set though. I would recommend buying!
