   For the price, this is a great box for chess pieces. I was initially a little disappointed that the box isn’t lined -the description doesn’t state that it is, but the picture of the open box looked to me like there was black felt in the interior. There isn’t. But otherwise, the box is very well made and looks great. My 34 piece wooden set with 3 3/4″ kings fits perfectly. This is a very good value for the price.

   Wrong color, wrong size, no latch, no velvet. A completely different product than the one described and pictured.

   Returned item and re-ordered. Correct item arrived and it’s nice except for no velvet lining. 👍

   I bought this to house the chess pieces I bought on boardgamesweekly.com for my son for an Xmas gift. Box is well made and I would buy again. Read the reviews, most people rated it highly with only one or two with a lower rating. I took a chance and this box is solid!

   I purchased a set of adjustable weights that have cylinders of metal that you put in the weights to control how much they weight. I wanted a way to store the ones that were not in the handles. This is what I found and it works great for storing them.

   I bought some marble chess pieces from boardgamesweekly.com and the king is 3.75 inches tall. The box description says it’s able to hold the 32 piece set. Technically it’s true, that is if you don’t plan on closing it or using the built in latch. It looks good but that’s all it has going for it. The latch was a deformed but worked. Returning it. Buyers beware.
