I bought this as requested for my niece. She was crazy for it.

Okay, at its core it is “Scene It”, licenced for the Harry Potter series. In this case it includes features from all 8 movies. There are two other scene it games for HP that feature the first 4 films and then the second 4 films respectively. So this one has it all. Great game board, artwork and themed pieces. Only thing that would have been more rewarding was to have it available on blu-ray for HD quality. We played it on a big screen and the overall quality was decent with the upconvert, but a full HD source would have been optimal!. Very fun game in its own right, and this themed game does not disappoint. A very solid 5-star endorsement. Game On!

This is an okay Scene It Game. The only thing that I have a problem with is that I own two other Scene It Harry Potter games and they both come with little metal playing pieces and this one comes with little plastic playing pieces. I feel a little bit cheated out. But other than that I love it. I would recommend this product to a friend along with the seller because the product arrived on time.

First of all, I agree with other reviewers about the dinky plastic playing pieces. The other Harry Potter Scene It games have nice pewter playing pieces, why did they cheap out on the final game?
On the DVD question portion of the game, there are lots of “watch this scene and then answer the question” questions, and those are great. I do wish you could pause the DVD during questions so you can have more time–this way I could allow my elementary-age kids a little extra time to try and answer the questions.
The DVD portions are not real challenging for the know-it-all adult fans like myself, but lots of fun for younger fans like my 8-year-old and 5-year-old. The question cards do have some challenging questions though, and help to balance out the competition a bit. Overall, this is a fun game for fans of the Harry Potter movie series.

Other reviews of this game made me really wary about ordering it. However it was the perfect gift for my sister for christmas and it is the only thing similar to what it is. Therefore I went ahead and ordered it and I’m glad I did. I too wish the game was nicer like our older version of harry potter scene-it. With the nice pewter playing pieces. However, we just use those when we play this and it’s almost the same. They introduce new games, so it’s not the same experience as the former version. I’m not sure how I feel about the new addition where a question is asked on screen and anyone who answers it has to pick from a deck of cards and your consequence for answering is not always good. It’s hard to stop from answering a question that you know the answer to, yet you could end up going back to start for it. But I guess it switches things up. Overall great buy. One question I disagreed with the answer. The question asked who gave neville the gilly weed that he gave to harry. I answered Barty crouch jr. because it was him disguised as Moody. However, the card said Moody, so I was wrong. Except i was right. So that was frustrating.

I’ve played other Scene-It? games and this one is by far the best. It has multiple questions for some of the challenges, and it makes the game last a little longer which we liked. The pieces aren’t metal, but they are very detailed and I actually really liked that they had a little bend to them. The only thing I didn’t like is that some of the questions are not answered by the movies, so my daughter (who has read the books) tends to beat me handily. All-in-all, it’s a very fun game though!

we have a couple scene it games that we enjoy and are big harry potter fans and this was great for us. They added some fun features on the Harry Potter theme. Weve only played it once, but it took over an hour to complete the game, not the 30-45 minutes that it states on the game itself. Also, compared to the other harry potter scene it games, this one was a great value. has clips and questions from all 8 movies. The other ones only have some of the movies and were four times the price.

This game uses the whole Harry Potter universe as it’s question base. They really sped up interactivity and gameplay in this latest “scene it” by adding a second question after “My Play” that everyone can answer. So you can’t just snooze through someone else’s My Play anymore. There are some really obscure questions found in this game that you’ll only get if you’ve read the books, however the majority of all the material comes from the movies, so if you’ve just seen the movies… this game is still a blast. I was disappointed they went with plastic resin pieces this time but… oh well. We’ve played this game ~10 times since purchasing it and havent once ran into a repeat movie clip or question yet. This is an excellent game!
