   I have yet only played without the DVD, we tried it and the game didn’t really flow as well as the traditional way; that’s not to say the DVDs aren’t very good – they certainly are, with many questions and a great feel for getting into the move for the game. There are also many card questions, the game is just as playable if there is no DVD player around. I noticed that the questions don’t seem to be split into a deck of easy and hard questions, they all seem pretty standard in difficulty. The character models are also a nice addition to play with and the look of the board is great.

   Overall a sound product if you are a fan of Lord of the Rings or Trivial Pursuit – and especially both!

   Quality game! Loved every aspect! There are many cards which means that they do no come around for a long time. Also the dvd questions are a lot of fun (although the observation round is less about knowledge and more about, well, observation!) and has a unique idea, this being that all can play after a certain amount of time and steal! The only downside is that the board was a bit stained, the cd case was slightly ripped and was written on! Other than the quality of the product, it is a great game and highly recommended!

   I have the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game and enjoy it immensily, so when I found on boardgamesweekly.com there was a Lord of the Rings DVD edition I jumped at the chance to buy it. I love that the game incorporates the special edition DVDs in the edition, increasing the difficulty without making the answers impossible. You have four characters pieces to choose to play: Gandalf, Frodo, Aragorn and Galadriel. Card Questions asked may be about how the movie was made to lines a character said to locations and more. It is fun to play the game over and over, as each game chapter on the DVD has you travel the path the characters did in the move. All LOTR lovers need this game!

   This product was in excellent condition. I bought it for a Christmas gift. I’m not a huge fan of Trivial Pursuit, and it is definitely full of hard questions (so it is a must if you are a major Lord of the Rings fan, but I failed miserably when we played it.) Good game, excellent gift idea.

   love this game. We were surprised to find all that we didn’t know but yet, our 12 year old daughter who has seen the movies only once or twice was also able to play along. We DO NOT like the Brown – “making movies” questions so usually we either give REALLY big hints or choose from another category. Those questions seem to be completely impossible in most cases. My husband knows quite a lot about the movies and can’t answer most of them. We still love the game, but wish this category was replaced with something from the movie.

   We have watched and read The Lord of The Rings so much that the questions were a little to easy. I think it is good game and it was fun to play with our friends, but it would be more challenging for the occasional LOTR watcher 🙂

    The label on the wrapper says it’s new and I thought I was purchasing a new game but it’s clearly a used game. Box is damaged, game pieces opened, writing all over the box lid and tried to cover some of it up with a white label. Will be returning.

    This was a gift for my sister (a huge LOTR fan) and she literally screamed when she opened it. This game fast and was in great condition! We had a lot of fun playing it and although it’s based off the movies, book knowledge helps with some of the harder questions. There are multiple “games” that follow the trail of the fellowship on dvd which is fun.
