    For the record, this game is NOT hard to learn. So don’t worry about that. This set is beautiful and worth the money. However, mine came with some of the Vikings having had the horns broken off. I got another set for my parents and it also came with the same problem. Not sure what the problem is with quality control, but it’s otherwise a great game and it looks beautiful.

    In the picture the pieces seem dark walnut brown and light varnished birch. The version I got had pieces that were red and almost white. For some reason when I photograph them they don’t seem as red as they do in real life. Other than that the game is great. It is easy to learn and tought o master.
