   Received this chess set and storage box today. Am very pleased. This will be my frontline chess set above four-plus others. The storage box is very beautiful and well made. The chess pieces, including the two additional queens, are outstanding. Just the right size and weight and not a flaw found. This is 5 stars all of the way! I highly recommend to others.

   Box arrived absolutely trashed. I was able to glue it back together because i didn’t want to have to deal with a return process. Pieces are beautiful and play well. I’ve had at least 4 weights come loose in the pieces and have had to peel back the felt and reglue the weights to the wood. I expect to have to do that to all 32 pieces over time.

   My adult son asked for a chess set. Who knew choosing one would be so time consuming. After reading countless reviews I decided on this set and ended up purchasing a chess board separately. I am not disappointed with my decision.
   First off, the box for the pieces is made of wood and is of good quality, not Made of plastic. Thumbs up for that.
   The pieces have a little weight to them. Nothing fancy nor high end, but seem to be of great quality for the $$.
   All in all I am pleased with my purchase, and I hope our son will be as well.

   I built my own chessboard (2.25″ squares) and was looking for a set of pieces. I wasn’t sure what style I wanted so I didn’t want to spend a lot yet. These pieces are a great value for the price. They are nicely weighted, and hard to accidentally knock over. The quality is really good, a few of the weights on the bottom were not inserted securely and made the pieces stand a little off, however pushing the bottom straightened them. The pieces are pretty smooth to the touch and the stain on the darker pieces is well done and not splotchy or inconsistent. Even the design of the Knight is pretty good, which is the hardest piece to make, and most of the really cheap sets had bad reviews on the knight design. The set came with an extra Queen and the box it came in is a lot better made then I expected. All in all, I think I got more than I expected for the price I paid for these, and I will probably buy another set when I make another board.

   Les pièces sont tout à fait correctes pour le prix ! Lestées et bien sculptées. Belle taille N°6 pour un plateau dont chaque case fait entre 50 et 55mm.
   L’échiquier sur les photos est fait maison.
   Petit bémol pour la boîte qui d’une part est trop petite pour cette taille de pièces (impossible de les ranger rapidement même si on y arrive) et d’autre part est plutôt “plus que basique”. Mais bon, une belle boîte coûte entre 30 et 50€. Donc tout est ok

   These pieces are excellent. They have a smooth texture & feel. I was told that they would arrive Saturday. They arrived a day earlier. I love the time spent on them. You’re getting quality for what you pay for. If you expect more or better, then you will need to pay more. My only issue is that one of the pawns had a lose weight in the base. I could tell by shaking the pawn. All other pieces did not do this. Otherwise, great quality product.
