This is a cute game. It’s light enough to play as a family ( ages 10+) and will keep every one engaged.
With many different ways to earn points it’s a game that can be played time and time again without getting dull.

Grande opção de jogo civ de rápida duração. Escolha um dentre 6 clãs assimétricos e lute para ficar no topo. Um elegante jogo com arte magnífica e produção esmerada!

Empires of the North is an excellent game. It plays fairly quickly (usually 4-6 rounds) and each faction has lots of different strategies to win. It feels similar to Imperial Settlers, but is different enough to warrant a purchase. One of my favourite games of 2019.

I picked this game up after seeing some recommendations, and I am very glad I did. I typically enjoy card games and engine building games. It’s much like the city-building component of Machi Koro or Everdell with light worker placement. There are 6 different clans to choose from, which can give your gameplay a different experience several times over. Empires of the North is pretty easy to learn and not a super lengthy game (maybe 60-ish minutes for 2 players). My husband and I love it, and I’m already looking at the other Imperial Settlers games!

I have played the original Imperial Settlers. But I think this version is a standalone game and is one of the best implementation of the original game. Artwork is superb. It has an interesting solo mode also. Excellent delivery by Boardway India. They offer one of the best pricing in boardgamesweekly.com on board games. Must have one.

I am having a blast learning this game. I have figured out how to comfortably play two-player, as if it was a cooperative game, which it is not, but it is not the winning that is important to me, it is the journey of learning how to play, use my mind, think, and have fun. As a senior of 74, all alone, it becomes imperative to use the brain. This is a good game for that. To be honest, it took me a week to get all the rules and such down, but so what. I just started the solo scenarios and I can really see how one must have a good grasp of the base game. At some point I will probably get one of the expansions, probably Roman Banners,

This game may have made it into my top 5 favorite board games.
It is an engine building game, similar to Res Arcana (also a great game). You play cards from your hand that usually stay on the board, and you can tap (exhaust) them to activate an ability (usually) once per turn. The decks are preconstructed, so you don’t have to worry about the cards’ synergy within each deck. Towards the end of each game, players will be able to complete massive and rewarding combos.
While this game is not ‘heavy’, is probably best for intermediate gamers. There are a lot of symbols and subtle rules that take some getting used to. But once the players get it down, the experience is very rewarding. Beginning gamers should be fine too, but they should find themselves intrigued enough to learn the rules and mechanics. I guess it takes about 10-15 minutes to explain enough to get started.
Overall, I love this game and highly recommend it for gamers who like medium complexity games.

This game has not only many options and strategies, but also each tribe has different abilities and cards. My 11 year-old son requests this game every time. You can’t really tell if you have lost or won until the final tally has been counted. Someone who was way behind everyone else the entire game, can pull ahead and win on the last round!

Played for the second time tonight. The illustrations in this game have so much fun detail. It does feel like a more cohesive game thanz imperial settlers but I can’t decide if it replaces it or not. Fun variety and a generous amount of starting factions. Highly recommend, one of my faves.
