   This cribbage board caught my eye and I didn’t hesitate to order it. When it arrived, a minor corner was smooshed (as is frequent deliveries from everywhere) but the elegant board inside was in flawlessly condition.

   The smooth feel and contrast of the different wood colors and smells is very pleasant. The felt on the bottom protects both the board and surface you lay it upon.

   I’m not looking but have yet to see anything of concern about this set so far. The pegs are smooth and colored differently and fit the holes like a glove.

   The sliding magnetic door to hold the pegs sits quietly at one end protecting the metal pegs.

   The cloth bag holds the board and has room for a deck or two of cards with its drawstring.

   This set is Made in India says the packaging.

   Gosh this is a pretty board! It’s very well-made, smells amazing (weird, right? But it smells like a new leather jacket if you like that kind of thing,) it has a very nice sound when you’re moving the pegs around. Visually, it’s a treat to look at. The little drawer that holds the pegs closes with a magnetic latch, so it’s reasonably secure. The pegs are metal which gives them a good “clack” when they tap the board, but sadly, they’re a sloppy fit so they rattle around and would certainly drop out if the board got a good knock.( I’ll probably replace them at some point with tapered pegs that fit snugly.) Four rubber feet on the bottom of the board keep it in place and stable if you have a stable playing surface. If you’re tempted to buy it, I’d recommend it.

   Shipped fast, though it’s coming from India so it’s not an overnight delivery item. In my case it was shipped by FedEx which got it through customs in a timely manner and kept me informed about where it was on its way to my doorstep. I actually had to sign for it when it arrived — that may affect your plans. It arrived safe and well-packed. Good value for the money. Very happy customer.

   I purchased this board as a birthday present for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves it! We were both amazed at the quality of this board. I mean it looked good in the pictures but was even nicer in person. Everything from the felt bottom, the finish and the inlaid wood design. Not to mention the little peg drawer with the magnetic closure. So well made. We both love playing on it. Well worth the money!

   I’ve played on basic cheap Bicycle crib boards for as long as I can remember, and this feels like a huge upgrade. I’m kicking myself for not having found this sooner.

   This board is extremely well made, with a lot of little details like the inlay patterns, felt bottom, and magnetic drawer. Really just a great board all around. The metal pegs seat nicely and unlike the air-weight plastic pegs I’m used to I don’t accidentally pull these out when pegging.

   It looked a smidge small when I unpacked it, but if you lay it next to a Bicycle board the track portion is the same size, the excess length on the Bicycle board comparatively is just the score section which is in the center of this board’s track instead.

   The only complaint I could manage is that the pegs can be difficult to get out of the drawer, but the whole drawer comes out and you can tip it into your hand easily so that’s not much of an issue even if you do find them fiddly.

   I have an old plastic foldable cribbage board that we have used for many years; it works but is not very attractive. Recently I saw this House of Cribbage wooden cribbage board on boardgamesweekly.com for about $65. The board looked very attractive in the pictures; however, it looks absolutely gorgeous in real life. It makes me want to play the game more often.

   If you need to buy a gift for someone who plays cribbage, this would make an excellent gift.

    Nice board. A little pricey at $50 in my opinion. I like that there is a storage drawer for the pegs. The board is attractive and has received compliments from everyone I’ve played with. It doesn’t have a skunk zone or tracker but that’s fine. No storage place for a deck of cards either. Some imperfections in the wood and manufacturing process. A couple of the holes were not drilled as deep so pegs sit higher in those holes but it would be easy to fix if it really bothered me. The felt bottom helps to keep it in place on certain surfaces and the dust cover makes a nice travel case. The colors of the pegs are a little hard to distinguish in certain lighting, especially the gold and rose gold. I like the colors but swapping the gold or rose gold with a black metal would have made them more distinct. I included some photos to illustrate how they appear in low light settings. After having done more research, I personally prefer the round boards and would like one that includes storage for a deck of cards and which can be mounted on the wall. Most of the ones I’ve found like that are twice as much. I don’t play enough to justify that expense so this is a good starter board for me.

    Every aspect of this board is made with care. It’s beautifully detailed, especially considering the low price. The drawer magnet is delightful, the bottom is lined with red velvet, it comes with a storage bag, and the pegs are NOT PLASTIC, as another reviewer stated. They are metal with a high quality feel and gorgeous colors. (I capitalized the above because I wasn’t going to buy this – no one wants plastic pegs on a beautiful board. I deliberated for days because of that review. When I went ahead with the order anyway, I almost bought a separate set of metal pegs for it. The only reason I didn’t was because I wasn’t sure if they’d fit. It was exasperating, but I’m glad I went with my gut in the end.)
