My four-year old son likes this toy! It makes a great toy for in the car or waiting at a doctor’s office, etc. The shapes have a storage drawer just for them and the in-lay pictures have a durable coating & have their own drawer. He can pick out a picture by himself, put it in, and figure out the shapes to make it. The shapes are magnetic so they don’t slip off or fall on the floor until he’s done. There are two levels of difficulty to the pictures. The first level has the outline of the shapes needed and on the back side of each picture is the advanced level where the child has to figure out the parts needed without the outlines. If your child loves it and wants more, there are additional sets of in-lay pictures you can purchase. So I would recommend this toy to other parents!

Tangoes was a really big hit with my 4 year old. I love all the skills involved in building with the tangrams. He advanced through the first two levels very quickly. He is now working on the more difficult puzzles. Wish there were more cards for level 2 and 3. It is sturdy. I love that all the pieces have their own little home. It is compact and easy to carry and transport. The magnets are strong. I was discouraged that the box came damaged especially since it was a BD gift. I do wish the pieces were in different colors instead of all blue. It is fun to get everyone involved in the problem solving. I highly recommend Tangoes if your child loves puzzles, shapes and thinking out of the box.

These are fun, easy to use, and great for long trip in the car! The magnetic feature is great for keeping things in place! It’s nice that it stores all the pieces and challenge cards!

Bought this for my 4 year old niece’s birthday. She absolutely loves it and has spent several hours over this weekend playing with it, doing all the puzzles (even attempting and completing some of the hard ones). I also go the Tangoes Jr Puzzle Packs – People… So she would have even more fun. She loves all of the puzzles. It is great for her learning spacial arrangement and problem solving. The instruction booklet has solutions if needed, as well as additional puzzles (small) that can be attempted on the blank board front of the case. This will provide endless hours of fun and learning. I love that it has a spot for the cards and the pieces and that it is magnetic (great for the car, or carrying around to show family how she just completed a project). I hope she enjoys it for a long time.
UPDATE: Almost a year later, she is still playing with this, keeping herself occupied when her mother is helping her sibilings. Now, at almost 5, she loves this and I am looking for more games with good spacial reasoning like this for Christmas…as well as additional packs. It is true that there is not a lot of space in the drawer for extra cards; however, I figure we will take out the easy cards she has mastered and add some newer, harder cards instead.
