   I just got these. Paid $70. I can’t believe how cheap and light these are. I’ve had checkers that are more substantial than these. I am so disappointed – they’re like toys for little kids.

   I give it a 3 due to the fact that the case they came in is worthless, little white foam balls everywhere when we play a game. The foam sticks to the chessmen and everything it comes into contact with. Unable to put the men up when not in play. The men themselves are everything I hoped they’d be.

   I’ve owned mystical creations set for along time and wanted to upgrade. Purchased this set to help differentiate the pieces for players new to this set. They are what I expected. Though, the bishop is slightly out of balance and tends to tip you can still tell which piece is which. Knights are a little under scale. All and all worth what I paid. Good for novelty but would go farther for exquisite piece presentation.

   I love the look of this set. It’s really intricate and detailed. I had a slight chip out of a piece and I contacted the seller and got a replacement within a day or two. Very easy to work with. I’m a little disappointed with the weight of the pieces. They look so cool and you just expect a little heft to them and they are very lightweight. I’m considering trying to add weight to the bottom if I can figure out how.
