Game arrived tumbling around in a big box with no padding. Luckily the game was not damaged but unfortunately upon opening the game I found that no English rules manual was included even though this item’s description states that it does.

There are many reviews as to the gameplay of Modern Art itself so I won’t go into details on that but if you have decided that this is a game you would like I highly recommend this production of it (if you can get your hands on it).
The additional art cards for Renaissance painters are beautiful. The wooden gavel and metal coins also add to the high quality feel. This is more expensive than you need to pay to get the standard edition but I think the extras are well worth it. A kickstarter type upgrade with these deluxe components would easily run you much more than the $60 this was on boardgamesweekly.com.

I,very been wanting to get this game for awhile and thought of purchasing the cmon version. However when I saw this version of the game I just had to get it. What I love is the metal coins, the nice gavel they give(i believe the American version has a small gavel.), the box art is also nice,, and this is just me but I prefer the art that is displayed here. I don’t mind that they don’t have the Korean paintings in here like before, it was probably a limited time deal, overall if you love a fun bidding game and want it a little fancy I say pick this copy up .

This is the definitive edition of Modern Art. I love the gavel and two different deck of art periods.

Just FYI the box only has korean language rules in the booklet. As someone who has never played this game before I can’t use it unless I find another set of rules. The components are nice but not sure if worth the price, especially without Korean art and without English rules to use.

Easily the best version of Modern Art, fantastic components. Unfortunately, as of May 2022, counter to the other reviews, it DOES NOT ship with the Korean artwork any longer. I have contacted Dice Tree to find out if it is possible to purchase the Korean artwork, as it was what I was most looking forward to from this edition.
I can’t knock off any stars because the listing does not specify which artwork is included. In any case, you won’t likely be disappointed by this edition.
***Update***: It is impossible to get the Korean art, so be aware that this version contains Modern and Renaissance art cards, the Gavel, and metal coins. All in all, not worth purchasing over the standard version *unless* you’re very interested in the coins and gavel.
