Great game, my group loved it! The A-B sides really help give the game a new flavor each time, from the alternate rooms to the alternate effects of each mage. The setting is unique and interesting as well, a sort of anime Harry Potter type deal. Learning it initially was a bit rough, but once we got going the turns went very quickly.

My all time favorite game. It’s complicated and not for new to “euro” games; but for those experienced game players it’s perfect. It had a multitude of possible strategies with great art and amazing flow. Highly recommend for those experienced players!

Pros- I will start by saying this game is a very fun and varied resource management. It has so many options and variations that the game will never be the same whenever you play it.
Con- The game takes a very very long time to play about 3hrs+, My biggest suggestion when adding new players is to start with all the simplest mechanics first. I would also suggest playing with people who can sit that long and to not play with people who overthink every turn by like 30 mins.
Other- The game is very aggressive which I like, but some people may not like it. When you attack someone it is direct its not as simple as Oh i took your spot. You are directly casting spells activating abilities to totally crush another player. I would suggest not playing with people who rage or become angry if you are to target them.

This game is an interesting take on the worker placement genre of games. The main problem I found is like so many others who have tried this I have personally witnessed severe cases of “analysis paralysis” in players. There are so many choices and someone who isn’t quick thinking can often just stop the game while they try to puzzle through the various choices.
Outside that its a great game, but due to the complexity I can only recommend this to experienced gamers or those with a lot of patience for slow play.
