This is hands down the best chess set, my daughter and i absolutely love it – it really folds up and keeps the pieces exactly where they were left. I ended up buying almost every size of the venture boards and loved this one the most because of the clarify of the pieces – I was getting frustrated when it wasnt easy to tell which piece was which piece. There is ONLY one thing missing – a little magnet to indicate which sides turn it was next – so we added in a little magnet and we put the small magnet on the side of the player that goes next and now its perfect!

This is a well made item that’s worth the price if you love chess. We got the smaller size version and it wasn’t too small to enjoy the game. The peices are detailed and well made. The magnet strength is impressive. I had read the pieces scratch the board and another reviewer added felt to the bottom. I did that before ever playing so no scratches. Was given as a gift and he loved it. We played multiple times before he flew home with it. It’s super fun to play. The way it’s made is very impressive
