I’ve bought this 3 times now lol for my kids and for other related children. It’s fantastic, it can take a good bashing as well. My daughter is on the spectrum and when she’s under stimulated I get this toy out and it helps so much! Has sounds, player 1 or 2 players, flashing lights.

I am a Speech Pathologist who has purchased this game previously and used to find this game very helpful for getting children to engage in auditory processing tasks where children have to listen for a specific sound and then respond. This version of the game does NOT produce different sounds for each mole which was the main point of the activity. The moles still light up but this is only half of the features on the previous model – which are the different sounds. Disappointed.

I bought this for my daughters birthday and it has been a big hit! She enjoys playing with her siblings, using the bats to whack the moles just like the larger arcade classic game 🙂 Has good sound effects and lights, game feels sturdy enough to withstand my kids hitting it repeatedly! Good for quick fun after school with no complex game set up required. Would recommend for younger children – they’ll love it!

I’ve had one for years for my grandchildren to play with. It’s held up extremely well considering how hard the smash the heads! Ordered a new one for another set of grandkids to have at home for xmas present.

Whac-a-Mole is a somewhat mindless game, but it’s lots of fun if you’re around 4-5 years old. Anyone older than that might think it’s too babyish, but our five year old twins and their four year old cousin love it. The object of the game is to bop as many lit moles as possible before time runs out. The special mole in the middle is worth more points, so bopping him gives players an edge, but only when he lights up in the player’s assigned color. Bopping moles that are not lit subtract from a player’s total.
Two levels of play are offered—at level one, the speed is slower and less moles light up. Level two is a sped-up version and more moles light up throughout play. This game can either be played by one person or two. I like that the winner is announced electronically—at the end of each game, the toy’s voice says how many moles the red player bopped, and how many the green player bopped. That has helped us keep the peace. I also like that this is an easy game to keep track of—it consists of only the mole board and two boppers which fit nicely back into the box when play time is over. Three AA batteries keep this game lively and our kids entertained.
