I bought this chess set for my son, who has always loved chess, for Christmas and HE Loves it! After seeing it, I think my husband wants a set too! It is well crafted, painted very nicely and overall a beautiful set. If I had a complaint, it would be about the cost of buying this set was a bit high. I hope over time, it proves to be a solid set that last a lifetime.

The chess pieces themselves and the chess board are exquisite. However, the boxing leaves much to be desired. Putting the pieces, after positioning them in the foam, back into the box is difficult, to say the least. And the board is to be stored in its separate box. At this price I would have expected one box to store everything.

White set Bishop can be mistaken for Black set Bishop in play- colors are similar. Repainted the Bishop red and fixed the problem.

These look so cool. Could use a bit more weight. The board is gorgeous but needs storage protection. But these do not detract from the awesomeness of the pieces.
