   The pieces are a nice weight, nice look, and is nicely painted. Unfortunately, I trusted the pieces were a bit less fragile when I ordered. Sadly, one of the pawns arrived broken. Other reviews mentioned the same and I thought surely it was a fluke and these had to be better made at a $90 price tag.

   My son, the receiver of the gift is happy with the pieces and is okay glueing the head back on the pawn. I as the gift giver am NOT pleased.

   Looks great. Plays well on a standard sized board. Just play in a well lit area since the weight of the colors is similar.it’s harder to tell the two sides apart if the lighting is not bright enough. It is easy to tell which piece is which. If you like sets that are not just a standard set but you still want to be able to play with it and not just display it, this is a good one.

   I love chess sets. In that, I’m constantly looking at sets at boardgamesweekly.com and other chess specific sites. This set caught me by surprise because of the comparably low price. This set has the most intricate detail of any set I’ve ever seen….PERIOD! It’s hand painted and even that is incredible. I’ve seen the metal version of this and it looks gaudy. Not sure how it compares by weight. As far as a gift, I would be thrilled to get this as a chess enthusiast.

   me encanto el estilo de las piezas , para ser sinceros no me sorprendio que no fueran muy grandes , en la descripcion ya estaba el tamaño de las piezas , tenia un poco de miedo que llegara alguna pieza rota , ya que la polirresina no es muy resistente y habia leido alginas reseñas en que algun peon llego descabezado pero por suerte eso no me paso , quiero subrayar la advertencia que da la caja , estas piezas no son un juguete son artesania y deben ser tratadas asi , si quieren comprsr esto para ponerse a tirar las piezas me parece que se estan equivocando , estas piezas son para mirarlas y admirarlas pero con cuidado.

    Well it does say resin…but for the price I thought they were a heavy metal. They say handpainted which would be worth it, because they are really cool looking. Just wish they were metal, or heavier.
