I bought this for my husband (30) because he was insistent he got Monopoly. I hated the original because it took too long, this is much faster and more strategic with stealing tokens rather than the whole house/hotel mess from the original game. Super fun game that he received at Christmas and we’ve been playing it a few times a week.

My son played this at school & really liked it, so we thought why not get one for our family? I didn’t play Monopoly much as a kid, I just remembered it was a marathon, not a sprint, lol! This version is relatively quick & fun! I’d give it 5 stars if there were more than 4 people able to play at a time.

I purchased this for a monopoly-lover and was really skeptical after reading some of the other reviews which suggested the rules were bad, the game was juvenile, went really quickly, etc. I don’t agree with any of those – this game is super fun, not too different from the original and the American city theme is a nice fun change. Games did not go too quickly and I love the passport theme. Would definitely purchase again and got it at a great price!

My son (9 years old) is OBSESSED with Monopoly. All variations. So when he chose to buy this with his Christmas money, I thought, “well, here we go again.” But I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun this version is. I grew up playing Monopoly with my mom (she was always the banker and she always won… I think she cheated…) and now I’m playing it with my son. We played many games, of many versions of Monopoly over winter break, and again over spring break. This is a game that even is quick enough for a school night – none of those three hour marathon sessions with this one. Just lots of fun.

So fun. I got this game for my office (child therapist) and as a test drive I played it with my husband. I think we played it 4 times in a row. Game play is about 10 minutes. To spice things up in a one on one we play two passports per person to keep the game going longer. It’s an interesting twist and best of all, I won.

This is not the standard Monopoly game. One the plus side it is easier for our six year old to play and its a much shorter game (Under an hour to play). Personally I don’t think it is as fun or challenging as regular Monopoly but the younger kids enjoy it.

I don’t like that this game has cards which make you be malicious to other players. In the original game it was mostly luck or chance, but in this game you can choose to steal from others. My kids were the ones who pointed out how mean this game is.
