I love Monopoly and was so happy to find this. This is a lot of fun and it’s great that it does all of the banking for you.
I would give it a higher rating, but the narrator is SO annoying! There’s no way to disable it and it seems like he’s constantly talking. He only has a few things he says, but he repeats these things over and over. If you play a long game it’s sure to drive you crazy. He seems to slow the game down (which I didn’t think this was possible).
I do like this game and I’m happy I bought it but I hope that in the future they make the commentary less annoying.

Purchased this game because I liked EA Games Monopoly for the iPhone & Touch and wanted a game for the big screen, but it is very different. Graphics are Ok, but the transitions are a little too long. iPhone version’s board pieces fly around the board, dog runs and the car races around the board. In this version they jump on each property making each turn seem longer than needed. In the beginning the Banker’s narrating is fun but it quickly gets annoying… he follows you around the board and says the same three phrases as you land on properties … he tends to run behind. There is no option to remove the banker or narration from the game. He is geared to kids maybe? The background music sounds like bad 80s adult movie soundtracks. Overall the game is playable, but I think most adults will find it annoying.

My daughter loves the game. I play because she loves it – and being electronic – no worries about the accounting part of it. All that tracking can get so burdensome. It is only four players; however, there are several interesting boards to play on. There are also some hilariously fun minigames included. Some of them are truly a lot of fun, while others are more work than fun. On the whole, it is an excellent addition to any Wii library.

was delivered REALLY quickly, no defects. Love anything Monopoly and this game is great! Slightly disappointed because the Monopoly/Monopoly Streets edition has a better Monopoly as far as not having to watch the computer play until the very end when the human players are bankrupt and a few small differences. I wish I would have gotten the duo even though Monopoly Streets is terrible the Monopoly game attached was way better.

I am a big fan of Monopoly and was very excited to get my hands on this game (I pre-ordered it from boardgamesweekly.com). The short version of my review is to say that the Wii version is inferior in almost all respects to the X-Box version (and I don’t mean the 360, the X-Box from 7 years ago). Although it is pretty to look at, the playability is horrible. The game has almost no configurable options (e.g., skip animations) and requires you to arrow over everything you want to do, even when there are no options other than to continue. Some of the buttons even require you to arrow over them, arrow off of them, then try again (bug). The game set-up options are also very poor, not even allowing you to set the game to play like the board version (e.g., you can’t set the pay space between Park Place and Boardwalk to the correct fee). So, good eye candy but I think I’ll stick with my old X-Box version. <sad>
update – Well, I gave the game another chance and it got worse. I almost had the AI beat when it put me in a “trade” loop where the computer kept offering me the same three trades over and over endlessly. I had to turn the game off to escape eventually. Very frustrating.

My husband and I play this a lot as there is not much one can do in the arctic when the weather can reach to temps of -57. When there is not much on T.V., then this can become a very nice and fun past time.

I absolutely love this game. I haven’t played monopoly since I was a child, and this game has certainly renewed my passion for it. My five year old easily watches along and when he gets the hang of it, he will be playing too. You don’t need a banker to count, and you do not need to search through your properties to find who has what, which makes the game easier. I would recommend this game to anyone who has a Wii.

Super fun and addictve game that up to 4 can play no rolling dice! no moving yyour piece. On a down note, it pays the player you landed on rent immediately, so no trying to be sneaky, but that is a small thing! Lots of different versions to play lots of fun, and seller sent it right away, in the good condition promised

If you like Monopoly, then you’ll love this game. It’s a bit different than normal Monopoly. You do have the option of playing normal Monopoly with friends, but you also have other forms of Monopoly which are just as fun. it’s worth the money. I know I’m being vague in my description, but I don’t want to ruin your fun. If you like/love Monopoly, buy this game, it’s worth it.

Monopoly is a classic, and for good reason. It’s certainly fun playing on the Wii – no set-up, the system keeps track of everything for you, and all you have to do is buy, sell, build, and drain your opponents’ cash before they can do the same to you. Why, then, only 4 stars instead of 5? It would be nice to be able to zoom around the board at will to help keep track of who owns what, or be able to access more detail about the properties (or even just read the title deed card), whenever it’s necessary, as opposed to only at the very end of one’s turn. Otherwise, this game is a great way to spend an hour or two, whether playing against the computer or against friends.
