Chess set is of very good quality. Other than the fact that my chess pieces are glass and one of the pawn came already broken. I contacted the seller and they did respond. They said the piece will be replaced but I’ve yet to see a replacement. I super glued the piece back together and kept it moving. I just didn’t see the need to send it back. The board is great and when I’m ready, I’ll just order better chess pieces.
The set is still nice and I still like it.

This is very misleading. While there is real wood used to make the sides the actual playing surfuce is plastic I am assuming glued onto a piece of partical board. From a distance the board looks nice but upon getting within three feet of it it is apparent that the board and pieces are flimsy.
The pieces also have no bottom felt and make a claking noise on the board.
The piece storage is equally flimsy as the top of the board if not more so. It is a plastic insert like the kind action figures come in but with a green felt like material.
It is a large travel set. That is the only accurate part of the description. Definitely NOT A DELUXE SET.

I thought this would be a great chess set, but the numbers are hardly legible and the chess pieces look great except for the uncared for seams. The maker of this product should think about cleaning up the pieces more before delivery, and possibly have someone else burn the numbers into the wood board. I was unimpressed.
