   Different than what I’m used to. First time trying a dedicated solo though it does allow 2 player. Very nice presentation but I had issues with some rules and had to compare versions, erratas and clarifications online. You should be able to operate it right away with these corrections but it will take a while to connect the dots of victory conditions, layered procedures and charts to develop the bigger picture. Good historical content and the gameplay is decent. I do enjoy breaking it out on rainy days. A lot of luck involved but there are quite a few touch points to tilt situations in your favor. Challenging game. Not my favorite style but a compelling narrative that kindles interest and respect on the subject.

   This is probably the most interesting entirely solitaire game I’ve played and its very difficult. I did win once by getting the enemy morale all the way down out of the 5 games I’ve played. The mechanic for the enemy actions with the instruction panel is pretty interesting and allows for a lot of variability. Good player aids as well. If you can’t often find a gaming partner this is a game for you.

   Navajo Wars is a fantastic game for solitaire enthusiasts who want to play against an artificial intelligence, and NOT have to ‘play both sides’ as many so-called solitaire games force you to do. The learning curve is not steep at all and I would recommend it to both novice and advanced players.

   This is a great old school board game, but not for the inexperienced gamer. Learning the rules can be quite daunting, and is reminiscent of 1980s war games. However the history here really shines. If you want a game played in this era, this is the game to play.
