   Nicely presented, good quality strong board, lovely little bags to keep the counters in. The only thing that lets this down is the quality of the counters themselves. With this being an official collectors item made by the Noble Collection, I assumed the counters would be made of metal or glass, giving weight to them. However they are actually made of cheap light plastic which has been painted.

   Overall a good set, but shame about the counters.

   I’m a big Harry Potter and I am in love with this. Was hesitate at first due to a review about “cheap plastic”. The coin are made from plastic but pretty sturdy and SHINY. You also have 3 extra for each color, but I don’t think it’s easy to lose because there are bags to keep them. The board is hard cardboard. I love the design of it. It’s a fancy version that you should have, especially if you are a HP fan.

   I got this for my father who is now a grandfather and a big fan of fantasy/scifi including harry potter. He plays checkers with my nephew and they both really loved this set for christmas. The set is well made as are the pieces, so I am quite happy with this purchase.

    Its a little on the cheap side. The checkers are very light/hollow and feel/look cheap. The board is fine. But it serves its purpose as a checker board. My 6 year old loves it. However, it has very little reference to HP and could really just be called a gold and silver checker board. If you are looking for a HP branded/inspired game, i would go with something else.

    My family loves this version of checkers! The board is fabulous, the gold and silver pieces are plastic but then so is my original set. This is much cooler to play with my kiddos.
