   戦国時代をテーマとしたミニチュアゲームのスターターは貴重。ある程度の規模で戦う為，数を揃える必要がありこのセットはコスパが良い。２８ｍｍスケールで，ミニチュアゲームの世界標準スケール。材質がプラなので，塗装が簡単。困るのは基本ルールが英語で別に購入する必要があること。ややファンタジーなところは仕方無い？　武器類の大きさ等も雰囲気？

   Got this box after good experiences with Warlord games. The huge plastic army is a joy, there aren’t really assembly instructions but they are simple enough.

   The sole metal miniature arrived broken, with no foam or other protection, just a plastic bag inside the main box. Hard to critique one broken mini in a box of 112, but it was a bit of a letdown since that should have been the highlight.

   Pros: You get 126 miniatures at 28mm scale (very close to Old Glory 25mm models in size) 40 Pike-men, 40 Skirmishers, 20 Foot Samurai, 12 Samurai Horsemen, 12 horses, and 1 general and his horse. The sculpts on the minis are pretty high in quality, with some ability to customize arm poses depending on what angle you want to set a pike at, or how creative you can get with a hobby knife. Leg poses are extremely limited however. Very limited flashing with the sprues, but some minor trimming will be required for most pieces. Lots of spare parts for kitbashing later, or for replacing anything that gets lost. A wide variety of duplicate heads, weapons, accessories, etc. Lots of little fine details on the armor, like lacing, rivets and other bits, especially on the samurai models for those of you who enjoy that sort of thing. Cons: These models have varied construction methods even on the same sprue; with some bits that seem to be put into separate halves for seemingly little reason. One sprue might have 4 sets of legs with key locks, and then the 5th set will be perfectly flat with no way of easily keeping them in place. You will have to assemble the human figures bodypart by bodypart; and many of them have only smooth contact to contact surfaces to adhere to a torso, or each other in the case of legs meeting up into hips. You’re gonna need a hobby knife and fast-curing glue to make sure that it all sticks together. The sashimono (backbanners) have no divets or notches to glue into, requiring plastic to plastic contact and your best judgement to make sure they stay. It’s the same for various pauldrons (shoulder pads) for the samurai. It’s the same for side swords for units like the Ashigaru; who have a tiny nub that sticks out that you’ll be lucky to actually adhere to with the tiny divet in the back of the sword scabbards. Command Unit: My box came with it’s general unit in bad shape. It is the only metal model in the entire set. The helmet crest was bent backwards, the sword scabbard for the katana / tachi was snapped in half and somewhat pitted, and the entire thing was still locked into half of the metal mold, from which lots of sharp metal shavings came pouring out. The separate arm had it’s sword bent at an awkward angle, and overall the single unique element to this particular box set was handled very poorly during packaging. I will be seeing if I can request another one.
