The game looks very similar to the one I knew 20 years ago. The photos of soldiers and officers is inverted from the ones on the board game. I would prefer if the numbers printed on the pieces are larger and if the pieces are heavier they would be more stable on the board.

Stratego es un juego clásico, esta NO es la versión clásica (a pesar de que el producto se llame Stratego Classic, no es la versión original). Esta versión es para juegos más cortos, tiene menos fichas y solo se colocan en tres hileras (contrario al original que son cuatro). Las fichas vienen sin estampado, hay que pegarles las estampas de forma manual, por lo que tienes que primero armar el juego, no puedes abrirlo y jugarlo. el pegamento de las estampas es de mala calidad, se desprenden con frecuencia. Igualmente la numeración en los personajes es inversa a la versión original del juego. No lo recomiendo si estás buscando jugar el Stratego común y corriente.

My 4 year old folded it the wrong way. He didn’t apply much pressure when he did it, but it split the board in half. Not very sturdy. Love the game. Just sad that my board was broken so easily.
Also quick note plan for 15 mins of setup first time as you apply stickers to all the pieces.

Really fun game. I played this when I was a kid and now my kids are playing it (ages 8 & 10). The version I had when I was a kid had the characters etched into the plastic pieces. This version you have to peel/place stickers on each of the pieces before you can first play.
